The Crow:Dead Doll - Screen Treatment

Disclaimers and shit: Same as the other page. This I was made to do in my Creative Writing class. I don't usually plot nearly so much, if at all, but this might give you an idea of where I'm going with Dead Doll, if I follow this.

Eva comes back from the dead, meets her mentor and stumbles away, Decides that following the bird might not be all bad. She is generally very angry and doesn't want this thing that she's become a part of. She finds her way back to the apartment she lives in and find half of her stuff in boxes, as if to be moved soon and the other half sprawled all around the small, poorly lit room. The electricity's been shut off and the phone was dead. Looking at some mail. she decides it must be about a month and a half after she died the first time. Swearing, she trys to decide what to do, picking up things she has flashbacks to how she died.

***there is a crazy man with some mental disorder and he looms over her, raping her.***

Screaming she trys to stop the flashes but can't.

***a knife, he's holding a knife. she feels him stab her and eventally kill her.***The remose he feels for killing her, her spirit staying close to her body. watching him make her into a marionette. ***the police busting into the apartment she was kept in and taking her body away and having her be put to rest***things like that..

what's happening with the bad guys during this is that they go to their drug-dealers and get high and talk a bit about the shit that they've gotten into in the past. Eva is mentioned briefly. deciding that they are bored, they decide to go get some muchies and hold up a conveninece store. happy with the amount of damage they've done they walk around for a bit, not worried about the cops, because they're high. Finding an attractive woman walking home from work late at night, they get the brilliant idea to kidnap her and 'have some fun'. Screaming, they finally force the woman into the car.

Back in Eva's apartment, she's still going through her things. Feeling some what melancholy about what has happened and confused about how she's back and why, she finds some pictures of her and her boyfriend doing things (like a picnic or something). Flashes of happier times come. Screaming at the pain of how the memories of the past hurt, she passes out on the floor for a time

Waking up slowly, she sees the Crow standing over her. Glowering at the bird, she stands up and locks herself in the bathroom to get away from the Crow. looking in the mirror, she briefly sees her mentors face. Throwing a brush at the mirror she opens the medicine cabinet to hide the mirror. A tube of black lipstick tumbles off of the shelves. she slams the cabinet closed again. she trys to black out the mirror with the lipstick, but still sees her mentors face. she screams "what the hell do you want?" and the mentor explains what the plan is and why she's back and what she has to do, and that she had X# of days to do this before she goes back to the other side, regardless of what she's accomplished.

eva tells the mentor to go to hell and sits down to decide what to do. looking at the things that are in to the medicine cabinet, she sees some perfume that her boyfriend had given her. hearing a caw from outside, she finally, but reluctantly puts on the makeup of the crow and becomes a crow person.

The crow finds meth and roach in the apartment they stay in with the girl they had kidnapped. they are beating her up and 'having some fun' as they call it. eva comes into the scene and watches for a minute before she makes herself known to them. She watches them hurt this lady and gets really upset. Revealing herself in a dramatic fashion she breaks up the party easily, everyone scattering as soon as they see her and she kills one of the guys. realizing it's not one of th guys who hurt her, she feels bad on some level, still realizing that he wasn't really a good person but not feelign that it's her place to take vengance on him. In this sequence, she also realizes that she's invicible and cannot be hurt or shot. this makes her a much more sure crow, knowing she can now make a difference and can't be hurt anymore by these men. Taking the lady to safety, she leaves, letting people wonder what the hell was that type thing.

Leaving and walking around for a while, she trys to decide how to accomplish her goal. picking up a coffee at a convenince store, she sees her boyfriend again, who is filling his car with gas. not knowing how to approach him she hides in his car and finally revelas herself, and he recognizes her instantly. she gets told what happened to her, as near as he knows and she tells him what she wants to do to these guys and why she's back. She also has to explain to him that she isn't back for good and cannot be his lover anymore. he tells her he wants to help and she tells him to stay out of it, that she can't be hurt but he can and that she doesn't want him to be hurt by all of this. that it's not his problem.

back at her appartment, once again alone, she plays her guitar with a tenderness and an intensity that shes never felt before. hearing the call of the crow, she knows something is up and follows the crow to where the problems are.

She finds her boyfriend at meth and roach's place, trying to demand vengance. telling him to get the hell out of there, to her let her deal with it, roach kills the boyfriend infron to her eyes. she turns around and kills him, in a fit of anger, however meth gets away.

she returns to her apartment to greieve alone, carrying the boyfriend's body. trying to call the mentor to her, she screms out for the mentor to heal the boyfriend, that he shouldn't have died, trying to bargain herself for his life. the mentor finally appears and explains to eva that she affected the living world, went outside of her mission of justice and that this is the price of her actions and that nothign will be done about it. then the mentor dissapears again and leaves eva alone once again with the boyfriends body.

deciding now more than ever that vengance needs to be had, she goes into her bathroom to geta sheet to cover her boyfriends body. finding some scissors, she cuts herself down her arm in pain. it heals quickly. angry at how she can't even show her mourning she punches the wall. taking the scissors again, she cuts her hair short and ragged. her eyes dark, she jumps out of the window to find who did this.

trying to call on old friends for help, she goes to her old office and sees one of her psychologist friends. breifly explaining what happened, the psychologist is REALLY surprised to see her alive and eva knows something is up. finding out that it was her supposed friend who gave meth her address which in effect helped him kill her. she angrily kills her in a c row type fashion. jumping out of the window to find meth, she leaves the office bloody and the body dismembered and behind the desk. Shortly after a patient of the psychologist, late for an appointment, bursts into the office and finds the body.

eva finds meth, and finally kills him, recieving her justice, which someow seems unfairly empty. going back to her apartment she picks up te boyfrinds body and takes him to the cemetary, crying softly, for the mentro to ressuruct him, now that she's done what she has to do. realizing tat it will never happen, she begs for release to go be with him on the other side.

the boyfriend takes eva's hand and leads her into the shadows and up with the crow. Looking down she sees herclosed grave, the soil undisturbed and the boyfriends dead body layong on top of it. A gravedigger sees the body and takes it back to the buildng apparently to have a proper burial etc. the darkness closes around them then a speck of light shows. it gets bigger and bigger till it evnelops both of the people and they kiss an eternal kiss and it's sure that all will be well abd that they can now rest in peace together for all time. that vengance has been had and the wrong things have been set right.
