Case Study The truth behind Voldemor

This is an extract from "These Times" eligibly written by Voldemor himself.

I know most will find this hard to believe and I know you will see this as no more than fiction. A wise man once told me you cannot change the way people see there own worlds, so I will not even try. Why am I even writing this? I hear you ask, will the answer is simple because I must. I must put the events of today down for future reading (even if it is not believed) I must do this because I must live again.
I can see them now on the lower acres of my land so I must be quick. Soon they will be here.

The first Part of this story must start at the end. I, Voldemor until today ran at the head of an elite army. An army made up of elite beings, not alive but not dead. We the Elite ran the country but we were unknown. Until today that is.  Today our kind hide in fear for there was a traitor in our midst. That traitor gave up all of his own in exchange for his mortality. Which in his case was a mistake.

I sat in my chair this morning at the head of the council when the news broke. One of our Generals burst into the meeting.
Sirs I bring news from underground He wheezed There has been a breach The room fell silent as the words left his mouth. A breach to us meant death. This was no accident sirs there was an army of them. They burst in just under two hours ago, Guns blazing! He bent over and coughed up blood.
How did this happen? I shouted.
Ginola was their sir. Ginola, the traitor, was a high-ranking officer; he was to be in line for the second in command position after our last had an unfortunate accident with a samurai sword. The shock was clear on the councils face no one expected this and if they did certainly not from Ginola.
Take all the men there are left and take back the underground, do it and leave no witnesses.
I was stunned when the general spoke next, I hadnt even dreamed of such a day when the humans would come but by rough estimation we out-numbered them 5 1 easy and our weapons were more effective.
There is no underground Sir, the humans are heading here.
Then get everyone available and get out there and cut them off. I shouted at him. Stunned by his news. That was just after 11 this morning. Who would have known that our whole race could be wiped out within 6 hours?  The council dispersed shortly afterwards. Most members including myself headed for the front line. I believed that if this were a new war then I would like to be apart of it. I was stupid.

We arrived just shy of 2 at the camp our elite had erected. The humans were no where to be seen at that time. We had men posted all around for two miles or so, watching. Little did we know that they were watching us. I talked with our leading men about a plan of action. The best we devised was to sit and wait. We could not possibly go looking for them if we did, we left the path open to the temple if that was taken we would surly die.
Mistake number 1, we should not have stayed we were sitting ducks. A big crowed of sitting ducks and when the first bomb hit it shock the earth beneath my feet. Luckily it missed and our men had a little time to disband but the second and third and fourth didnt miss and our numbers dropped greatly in those few minutes. I am ashamed to say that I fled. I fled and I ran here, to wait. For what you ask? Death of course and soon that will come but for now I will continue.

When I arrived here there not one of our kind still stood. The attack on the underground had been a lure. A lure to get our army out. Once we had left hundreds of humans attacked killing all. I wondered aimlessly for what seemed like hours but was probably no more than minutes. When I arrived back in my room. He was waiting with a smile on his face. Im glad to say it wasnt on there long.
Ahh, Voldemor, you have returned. As I knew you would He spoke in his girlish tone.
What the hell are you doing here? You traitor? I roared.
Why, I have come to mark the end of an era, my friend. I have come to lay witness to the death of lord Voldemor. He chuckled. I ran at him then and pinned him to the wall. I had forgotten how weak the humans were. He had a look of shock on his face as though he hadnt expected being so weak. I laughed.
That was your first mistake Ginola, becoming one of the weak. Your second was coming here. I flung him across the room and he landed in a heap beside the door.
Now get up you traitor, and face your death like a man. I saw a look of hesitation in his eyes then as he stumbled to his feet.
You may kill me Voldemor. I have waited along time for my death and I shall welcome it with open arms. You will follow me down to hell. Soon they will be here.
I flew at him again, I wrapped my fingers around his neck and squeezed. I felt comfort in myself as the bones cracked under my strength. When there was nothing left to squeeze I let him drop to the floor.

I wept then, seemingly for a life time. When my tears were spent and my eyes red I stood at looked out over my land. That is when I first noticed them. Marching across the lower acres. Their eyes all seeming to focus on me. There must have been a hundred or more all armed with military weapons. I wondered then how they could build an army and I not know about it. I sat and began to write.

Now I have come to the end of todays events and I can hear them in the hall below me. They are searching, for me I know and soon they will arrive. Oh, I will fight and probably kill many of them but my death will come like Ginola said and Im sure it will not be swift like the rest. My work is done anyway for now I will return again to this land at some point and when I do the Elite will rise again.

                                                   Lord Voldemor.

I believe this extract to be false and no more believe it than I believe the tooth fairy will visit my son in the night. There is no other evidence of such a battle between man and vampire. There are various passages of that story that are eligible and I am unable to translate most of it. The language has been forgotten for over two hundred years. Paris fell one hundred years to the day that passage was writ I intend to visit the ruins of Paris to investigate, the rumour I have heard is that Voldermor shall rise again this 19th. I intend to put a stop to this nonsense once and for all. Michael Parsons. 15th May 2205

That is Michael parsons notes for her book The Living, The Dead and the Dying. Michael Parsons died in Paris that year in a war that lasted over two hundred years, a war we lost.

I choose this subject for my school project as it is relevant to all of us, and I hope someday man will triumph over vampire and we will reclaim the land that is ours.
