| Distant the pen is from the paper
Mispronouncing words, Screwing up the poets feeling Changing completely the poems meaning. Distant the mind is from the soul Both, we believe are intertwined In truth they are separate, The soul and the mind. Interpreting words, but the soul cannot speak. So interpret the silence Isnt that what we seek? To give the soul a voice So that it can sing to us. Thats what the mind aims to do With the pen and the paper. But the paper is distant From the mind and the pen And the soul is just a silent, Shadow of a man Richard |
