| A Cur's Bark | |||||||||
| Poetry Page | |||||||||
| Laying half asleep in the dark
Theres a flash, my eyes snap open. I hear thunder but it is distant And a curs bark. The bark again but this time broken By a blood curdling scream, instant Shiver, electric spark. I hear a voice somethings spoken Incoherent but insistent, I loathe it here in the dark. Behind me my bedroom door slams open In an instant the darkness is broken I hear thunder but still its distant And a curs bark. Richard |
