Hello!

My name is Edward M. Corpus.  Perhaps you might want to read a brief account of who I am.

I was born in the Far East -- Dagupan City, Philippines -- many, many… years ago.  At the age of a year-and-a-half I immigrated to another town in the Far East -- New York City.  Again, that was many, many… years ago.  My brother Willy and his son, the up-and-coming young comedian Billy (the Kid) still live there in Astoria, Queens, New York.

Remember Fame?  That’s where I went to school, the Fiorella H. LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts, where I majored in art.  Hint: I graduated before the movie and TV series were made.

I now reside in Seaside, California.

Having rolled from the East coast to the West coast in the distant past, I have worn and continue to wear many hats through life: investigative researcher, security officer, private investigator, credit card and bank fraud investigator, business analyst, database administrator, intranet developer, webmaster, photographer…

Through every job and every transition, I have always maintained a love for writing and the creative arts and apply this to every aspect of my life:  I write fiction, poetry and essays.  Some might argue that a large part of my life is fiction and fantasy.  I've written -- and ghostwritten -- newspaper guest editorials.  My artist's media of preference are painting and drawing in various wet and dry media, as well as photographic and digital graphic art.  I make masks, design and sew theatrical and Hallowe'en costumes.  While this versatility is difficult to pigeonhole into a single, all-inclusive job description, my hope over the next immediate period ahead is to parlay this love of writing and art into a career.

My latest novel is entitled Extreme Dreams, and my extreme dream is that it will someday soon be available for you at your local bookstore.

I also do portraiture in charcoal and graphite pencil.  A website detailing my services will be available soon (although due to the Terms of Service with Yahoo I am unable to provide you an active link to www.geocities.com/emcorpus05).

And when I’m not at an easel, computer or word processor?

I love travel, dogs, cats, horses and big nature, loves that I share with my ladyfriend Mohini Peters of Scotts Valley.  We love hiking, camping and also promote the growing sport of geocaching as well.

I am certified as a Wilderness Emergency First Responder, with training in First Aid and CPR.  I also have certification on various levels in ocean kayaking and SCUBA diving.  I have also some training in the healing art of medical qigong.

Mohini Peters and I are both on the board of directors of Camp Unalayee.  This is a wonderful non-denominational summer camp for youth between the ages of ten through seventeen years.  I have inherited the task of web mastering Camp Unalayee’s web presence.  (Oops, I guess that puts me back at the computer again…)

Other loves are cinema, an interest in airplanes and combat flight simulation, martial arts and in the nooks and crannies “play” guitar, listen to music, mess around with hacks and mods to Sims2 and living "in-world" at SecondLife.  As in "real life ", I'm impecunious there, too.

Oh, and I also love tinkering with my Jeeps -- a '94 Cherokee and '87 Wrangler -- a love not shared by my ladyfriend.  Oh, well…
