My point being that you blame the current and most recent economic circumstances of the RP are the responsibility of the United States. Why don’t you blame the United States for China’s economic circumstances? I would guess because it is clear that * China * is responsible for * their * economic situation… as is the * RP * (and it’s Rulers)

I can’t understand * why * you wouldn’t know that China was in "dire economic straits" consider that China had been a battle field since the mid 30’s, the Japanese experimented with biological in northern China. The parts that weren’t involved in the war with the Japanese were also torn apart by the * civil * war that was interrupted (but not stopped) by the Japanese attack on China. (do the words "Nanking Massacre" mean * anything * to you?)
> On the other hand, RP was but a "BABY" and we all know what happens to a baby left to fend for itself in the wild (and no, it does not grow up to become Tarzan)
Yes, the RP was a "Baby" that America was * mothering * to independence til it was interrupted by the Japanese attack, China OTOH was carved up by western nations and Russia as well as Japan, ruled by "war lords" in a number of locales and basically in pieces… Then the * War * started. Really it was a much more dire case.

> Wrong, I blame them every bit as much. Too bad they didn’t have that Nazi Germany mentality, where they put the country first.
Huh? I am sorry, I don’t know what you mean by "Nazi Germany mentality". I don’t think you could say Hitler put * his * nation first.
> OK, Gary, here’s your big chance to tell SCFers all over the world "How to do it right!" What does RP need to do? You must know a few historical success stories that could work in RP. Thanks anyway for your input
Oh Easy Steve, I would recommend the Hong Kong model vs. the Japanese model.
