| 8. Do you have any plans of touring...? If so when and where?
- With the current situation of what has happened in Raspatul, I think it's almost impossible to see Raspatul going on tours in the near future. I would personally love to be on tour and see the world and I would jump on any chance to go on tour. 9. What would you say your music is? - Definitely Death Thrash Metal. I think some of the people who have heard us on our previous 'Menghitung Ajal' EP might find us too melodic in some sense, but I think I gave Raspatul a more brutal edge in songwriting, and the songs we were writing before Ayim's passing on were very much less melodic and having more focus on songwriting and sick arrangements. 10. Why do you play the music you do? - This sounds like a very hard question to answer! Well I still don't know why I love Death Thrash Metal music till this day, but in my humble opinion, I guess I sort of knew this was my path when I was 15 years old. I definitely live the life as much as I can to be Metal everyday. And I am not really sure if people know what I am talking about, but Metal is about going against the system and not following the lifestyle of this 'programmed' society. I have encountered so many incidents in my life where I always am the one being alienated and I pretty much got used to it by now. I have no regrets or anything, it's just an alternative lifestyle that I chose, and it might sound ridiculous to people that Metal can a person's way of life. Like I mentioned earlier, it's hard to answer this question, but I am sure if you are really into Metal, you will know what I mean. 11. What is the best thing about your latest Album? - The best thing about our new promo release 'The Perfect Realm Of Jharkyannarkh Promo CD 2004' is that it's kind of like a little treat to Metal listeners for those who wish to hear a little more of Raspatul after almost 3 years of our debut release. This new release contains only just one new song, which was recorded, mixed and mastered by yours truly. I will not talk about the new promo release on a selling point of view but more on a personal level of why I think this promo release is very special to me. I spent countless amounts of hours and sleepless nights mixing the new Raspatul song and it was a very great sense of achievement for me to finally mix the new song to a sound that I could accept. It not the best sound in the world, but I pretty much am very satisfied with the way it turned out and I still like the way it sounded, very raw and aggressive vibe, and it definitely captured the essence of Raspatul at our best. Why I really think this promo release is definitely going to be nostalgic is that we have included 4 live videos into the promo CD and these 4 live videos are our worst performances, due to the fact that we had a very bad soundman and a real bad placement of the drum kit on the day of the show doesn't help much as well. Another thing would be that on this promo CD, the new song that we recorded is also our sing Ayim's last vocal performance recorded on CD. 12. What is the worst thing about being a band? - I am sure every fucking band in the world can answer this question hahaha! I personally have had bad experiences in bands, be it musical clashes or just personality differences. Well no one said it was ever easy playing in a band anyway, but I think the worse thing about playing in a band would to find out that your other band members no longer have the same chemistry with you and you start to drift further apart from them. 13. What is the best thing about being a band? - I seriously doubt I would even have a focus or life to begin with if it wasn't for playing in a band. For 15 years, my main life focus has been nothing but Metal and I think it could sound pretty scary to a lot of people. It's a natural step for me to eventually play in a band and no matter what other things I do in my life, nothing is as fulfilling as letting my creative output to be unleashed in the band. |
