Angel of the Night

            From deep within the darkest brush lay a soul at
              his weakest point in life, his clothes are tore, his
              body cold, he has just lost his wife. A broken
              heart has taken all away from his everything,
              and just when he has given up hope, from the
              sky he sees something. A tiny light is floating
              down and helps him to his feet, and places up
              upon his head her hand and speaks "defeat". Tis
              his dismay does he see an angel resembling his
              wife, "my love" she speaks "I am your strength to
              guide you through your life", "I had to go, it was
              my time, but I am still here with you, to help
              you and to guide you, in everything you do", with
              this in mind the man just smiled and brushed
              away the dirt, dried his eyes, and washed his
              hands and replaced his tore up shirt. He took a
              deep breath and spoke not a word as he smiled
              to this sight, and walked away tucked by his
              side, with this tiny little light.

THE ANGEL

He trudges along through the snow,
                 his weary legs keep walking
                 the wind is stinging his old, wrinkled face
He looks through a window of a log cabin and sees a family of five sitting at a
         dinner table, with only food to feed two.
He hears their wish, and grants it.
Now there is wonderful food to feed them all.

He continues to trudge in the snow
The bright moon is the only light
He sees a shivering pup lying in the snow
He picks up the pup and puts it inside his
long black coat.
The pup immediately stops shivering.

He jumps at the sound of a gunshot
The hunters are out hunting for dinner
The man hears the cries of the animals and
saves them all by giving
them a safe place to hide in the forest.

Though he may not have room in his hands
to save everything, but he's got all the room
in the world in his heart.
This man is invisble to others.
He goes around guarding lives.

                Angels live in Heaven
                 That's what we're taught from birth
                 But I believe they live
                 Within us all on earth.

                 And much unlike the real world
                 When we're here in VP
                 We judge a persons character
                 On whom we cannot see

                 Although we're never perfect
                 There's always good in me and you
                  'Cause Angels always see.........

ANGELS IN MY HEART:                                                     ¸
                         When I have no one to turn to,
                           and I am feeling kind of low.
                     When there is no one here to talk to,
                        and no where I really want to go.
                           I search deep within myself.
                          It is the love inside my heart,
                  that let's me know My Angels are there,
                    even though we are many miles apart.
                     A smile then appears upon my face,
                           and the sun begins to shine.
                        I hear a voice, so soft and sweet,
                     saying, "everything will be just fine".
                           It may seem that I am alone,
                        but I am never by myself, at all.
                       Whenever I need my Angels near,
                                all I have to do is call.
                          An Angels love is always true,
                         on that you can always depend.
                       She will always stand beside you,
                         and will always be your friend.

Some say that angels come from God,
                           Borne here on wings snow white,
                          To touch some human being's life
                             While on their heavenly flight.

                           That may be true, for so it seems
                               To happen, now and then.
                          Some heavenly being reaches down
                              To touch the hearts of men.

                            But there's another kind of gift
                             That comes from God to men.
                            It happens when a human heart
                                 Is filled with love again.

                             And this can happen any time,
                                     On any given day,
                         If human hearts will hear Love's call
                               And let Love have its way.

                           But human hearts are often shy,
                             And fear what men would say.
                             They also fail to see how Love
                              Could use them in this way.

                          And so they miss the chance to be
                                 Somebody’s Angel when
                           A caring word, a thoughtful deed
                          Would’ve brought love back again.

                        So listen, friend, and heed Love's call
                                To help someone in need.

                         It's a gift that they constantly share
             If an Angel is someone who looks out for others
                        And gives them a nudge here or there
                    If an Angel is someone who touches your life
                       With a heart that's both joyful and wise

                          You're an Angel in human disguise.
