| BIOGRAPHY |
| The musical group Rapturous Ode was started in the fall of 2002 under the original name of Dark Christ Apocalypsos. The founding members were Stuart Richards on vocals, Steven Lowe on guitar, Amber Simmons on keyboard and Chris Simmons on drums. Practicing in the chapel of Severn Baptist Church on Sunday afternoons, they formed a unique sound grafted from elements of rock, industrial, 80's pop, and opera. Dark Christ Apocalypsos underwent some lineup and name changes in the following months. Chris left the band, and the band's drumming and backup vocal needs were supplied by the current drummer, Jeremy Hunt. The parting was on jovial terms, though, and the band was propelled to greater heights, playing their first show only a month later. Soon after, however, Amber left, and the band's keyboard needs were provided by Stu as the band changed names to Rapturous Ode. The band was geographically parted on June 11, 2003, as Stu went off to college in Nebraska. However, Rapturous Ode continues to work on the yet unreleased album "Hell's Gates Arrested" and the members are also pursuing side projects. |
