Part 1: Planning
The Goal I'm not an audio guy. You will not see 300lbs of subwoofers in the back of anything I own. I see no reason to listen to music any louder than the stock radio can play it, as the stock radio is capable of blasting music plenty loud to hurt my ears. I see no reason to invest time and money into making it hurt my ears worse and weigh the car down. Powerful audio systems have no place in a sports car. My goal with the electronics of the car is to utilize a central computer and a console mounted LCD touch screen to allow ECU tuning while driving, have GPS navigation, play MP3's over the sound system, and watch videos and DVD movies. I also plan on running a digital dash setup instead of traditional gauges, with visual and audible warnings that tell me when something is amiss. I may decide to expand this with onboard cameras, a G-meter, and other trinkets, but this is the basic plan for now. |
