Hey everybody, time for another archery season. Sorry to say we are off to a slow start this year. We did not get time to do a lot of things we would have liked to do this summer. Man hours is the leading cause.  Everybody is too busy with other projects. Lets hope we can resolve that problem in the months to come.

In case you didn’t hear, we did manage to sell the property that contained our old outdoor range.  As it sits, the club has the following funds:

Savings:  $1,000.00
Checking: $1,400.00
CD:  51,400.00
Money Market: $19,500.00
Total:  $73,300.

Our next board meeting will be on Sunday, December 2nd following the December tournament.  The meeting should start around 3pm. We will be discussing what to do with money. We have the following list of updates and ideas from last year. If you have any strong feelings on what you would like to see done, please plan on attending the meeting. The more input the better. Of course not all the suggestions can be done due to the limited amount of funds we have. So, if something gets crossed off the list and you are upset about it, don’t complain unless you were at the meeting. That’s where the decisions will be made. We may not decide to do any major projects for awhile. If we invest the money it can grow and allow us to take on bigger projects without running ourselves out of cash. Either way, this will all be discussed at the meeting.

Tournaments:
The 2007-2008 tournament dates have been set. Flyers have been printed and mailed to other clubs and past tournament participants. The dates are as follows: December 1-2, January 5-6, February 2-3, March 1-2. Sign-up sheets will be posted for those interested in helping out. WE WILL NEED HELP for the December Tournament. Please try and support the club and donate some time. The tournaments are not the sole responsibility of the board members, but of ALL members. Please consider putting in some time to help our club generate revenue for any of the listed dates. Contact Mark Schiferl (920-723-2323) if you are interested in helping. Remember key holders, you need to put in your 10 hours of help.  Tournaments are the easiest way to do it!

The club needs a good cleaning and outdoor pickup. If anyone is interested in helping, contact Mark Schiferl (920-723-2323). Please let him know ASAP. If no one calls, it will be left up to the usual small group of people who do everything.

Leagues:
Monday night league
will start Dec. 3rd with the contact person being Mark Schiferl (920-723-2323).  If you want to join the Monday night league, just show up. We start shooting at 7pm. Come earlier if you need to warm up or set up your bow. The first night we will be shooting for average. Do not hesitate to show up no matter how many weeks have passed. The Monday Nighters are always looking for new league members. Also, if you are just looking for a night to shoot once in awhile, stop on in. If there are lanes open, you are welcome to shoot even if you don’t join the league.

Tuesday night league will start Dec. 4th with the contact person being Peter Newcomb 920-222-1400.  I believe they start around 7pm. The Tuesday Nighters like to shoot and play cards. So if you are interested, get a hold of Peter.

Friday night league usually starts the 1st Friday in January.  At this time, I am not sure who is running the league.  More information on the Friday night league will be in the next newsletter.

Wednesdays: If we can get enough people to sign up for work hours to be at the club on Wednesday nights, we will have open shooting for members who do not have a key. Call the club a head of time before showing up to make sure the doors are open. The club phone number is 674-5864.

Thursday nights are currently open. If anyone is interested in starting a Thursday night league, please contact Mark Schiferl (920-723-2323)
