Inori was born on October 31, 2000. I had recently lost my faithful companion of 13 years, Princess, 10 days earlier and was in a very depressed state. Inori's breeder, Fran Cox, offered me a puppy and even though at first I was not sure it quickly became apparent that a new puppy was just what Pirncess wanted for me. You can visit Inori's breeder's homepage to see pictures of her relatives. I drove 1200 miles in 19 hours on New Years Eve 2000 to get Inori. I am so very happy she is with me now. She took to Zen (my other Akita) immediately but took a while longer to adjust to Guin (my Lab) -- I think the floppy ears and wagging non-curled tail mystified her. And Inori loves to chase the cat. She is a gorgeous silver color right now but has some fawn highlights so it will be interesting to see what color she turns as she grows. Her full name is Dancin Bear's Inori-Kanae (Answer to Prayer in Japanese for that is what she is).
