Southwest Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

Directions

In a dutch oven, combine the first 5 ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add beans and corn.
Mix bisquick, cornmeal and milk.
Drop by heaping tablespoons on simmering soup.
Cover and cook 12-15 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese, cover and simmer 1 min. longer.
Serve immediately.
Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
**For spicier soup, add 1/2 T. chili powder and 1/2 t. cumin or substitute chili beans (with gravy) for kidney beans.**
