Broccoli Cheese Soup
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3 cans chicken broth
- 2 cans water
- Salt and pepper
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 lb. pasteurized process cheese
- 3 c. half & half
Directions
Saute onoin in margarine.Add chicken broth, water, and salt and pepper (enough to flavor to taste).
Bring to a boil.
Add broccoli, garlic powder, and salt and pepper if needed.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Grate cheese into soup.
Add half & half.
Heat until cheese is melted and soup is hot enough for taste.
Yields 6 servings.
