MORRIS' DOLE COMMENT IS NONSENSE
The Newcastle Young Liberals today slammed Allan Morris'
comments about the National Textiles workers and their ineligibility
for Dole payments, as simply a diversion and a nonsense.
"Although trying to sound concerned for the well-being
of the National Textile workers, Allan Morris is simply making
a noise because he hasn't had any publicity from the debacle"
said Newcastle Young Liberal President, David Williams.
"Labor made a noise that the Government should do something
to help National Textiles workers," said David Williams,
"and now the Prime Minister has intervened and pledged
money to make up for lost entitlements as well as money towards
retraining."
"Would Allan Morris be happier if the Government didn't
do anything? He seems to think they have now been done a disservice!"
"The National Textile workers are happy to have been
given the money. Why is Allan Morris being so ungrateful?"
David Williams said.
"Allan Morris seems to think any future problems of
the National Textile workers can be solved by just putting
them on the dole and covering them up," said David Williams.
"Why isn't he talking about jobs or training?"
"Allan Morris is feeling left out because he did nothing
to help National Textiles. He's making a noise so he can be
heard," said David Williams. |
