  • Modelling crop production and field forecasting of eight major agricultural crops cultivated in Sri Lanka. 

  • Involving statistical modelling with 20 year production data set and 30 year climatological data set to model the spatial distribution of agricultural production potential and its dynamics.

  • Establishing a GIS Centre at the Natural Resources Management Centre (NRMC) of the Department of Agriculture.

  • Providing training to the staff of the NRMC of the Department of Agriculture in the use of GIS software.
