Welcome to the home page of Nancy, KC4IYD

To learn about me and what I do in real life, click on this link: NASA Quest Bio of Nancy Hall

KC4IYD is my amateur radio callsign so naturally amateur radio is my favorite hobby. Check out the Young Ladies Radio League (YLRL) and Buckeye Belles website that I maintain. Both are amateur radio clubs devoted to women amateur radio operators. In amateur radio, all women are known as YLs or young ladies.

Being a science fiction fan, I recently have gotten involved with Starfleet: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. I was originally assigned to the science department on board the starship USS Jurassic but now I'm department chief of Computer Operations. This starship is one of a few starship with its own callsign, K8SSJ and VE7SSJ. If you decide to join SFI and pick the USS Jurassic as your home ship after reading the link, please put my name down as recommending you and I will be able to get promotion points for it. I've also put together a holodeck program for the USS Jurassic. And recently, several of my friends on the USS Jurassic visited the Cleveland Zoo. We wrote about our visit in the form of an "away mission" story. Be sure to read about the Away Mission Log or check out the Image Gallery . If you like it or have any comments, let me know.

Other hobbies and interests of mine include collecting non-sports cards and CCG (customizable card games), collecting stamps, reading science fiction and fantasy books, playing the piano and building model planes and sci fi ships and working on my creative memories scrapbook.

In April, I helped out the NASA Explorer School Crossroads Elementary from St. Paul, MN, who was one of 3 elementary schools selected to fly their student experiment on NASA's KC-135A, the reduced gravity aircraft. Check out the pictures about this activity and those of us involved with the Explorer school on the page I created called High Flying NASA Explorer Schools

Here are some links from my friends page... ok, so there is only 1 link now but as I get more, I will add them :)
