Earl Cope , of Burlington, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Cope; and a son, Carl Cope of Burlington. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery. Stith Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.

Rev. Carl Taylor, church pastor The Rev. Carl E. Taylor served as pastor for Wesleyan Christian Church in Covington for 14 years. Rev. Taylor, 88, died at 2 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. ''He was still pastoring'' at age 88, said his wife of 19 years, Ann Henry Taylor. ''He was a very kind person. He was very loving and had lots of friends.'' Rev. Taylor, a retired truck driver, grew up in Ohio. Rev. Taylor and his wife met in church. Other survivors include a son, Earl Cope of Burlington, Ky.; and a grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Sat urday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence, Ky. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ann Henry Taylor , 80, of Florence, died Thursday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence. She was a retired production worker for Johnson and Harding, Cincinnati, and a member of Wesleyan Christian Church, Covington. Her husband, Carl Taylor, died in 1997. Survivors include her grandson, Carl Cope of Burlington; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Cope of Burlington. Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the services Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery.

Clayton Cleary Works, age 58, husband of Martha Burnett Works, died May 6, 1969 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. Works, a resident of Birch Road, Latonia Lakes, was a former Covington Policeman.
Clayton, a native of Harrison County, KY, was the son of Jefferson Davis Works and Rebecca Ann Hughes Works. He was the grandson of Joseph and Sarah Ann Hale Hughes.
Mr. Works and Martha Burnett, daughter of Albert and Ella Bliss Hatton Burnett, were married November 23, 1939 at the Grace Reform Evangelical Church in KY.
Mr. Works was survived by his sister, Odella Works Cope (FNU) Taylor (Carl E.) of Ft. Mitchell, KY, two sons, Wayne Clayton Works and Earl Stanley Works of Covington, KY, and two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Marlene Works Womble (John Randolph) and Martha Ann Works Britton (Archie Donald) and his nephew, Edwin Earl Cope.
Funeral services were held at Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Covington, KY, on Saturday, May 8, 1969. Mr. Works is buried in Highland Cemetery, Kenton County, KY.
