The Newell Family

 

  1. Abraham Newell, and his family sailed from Ipswich, England on 10 April 1634.
    His oldest son Abraham Jr. was 8 at that time.

  2. Abraham Newell,Jr born about 1626, England. His first wife is unknown at this time.
    He married again on Feb. 8,1652 to Susanna, daughter of Robert Rand of Charlestown.
    They had the following children;
      1. Abraham NEWELL
      2. Susanna NEWELL
      3. Joseph NEWELL
      4. Mary NEWELL
      5. Thomas NEWELL
      6. Elizabeth NEWELL
      7. Rebecca NEWELL, born July 15, 1667 at Roxbury,Suffolk,Ma.
      8. Ruth NEWELL
      9. John NEWELL
    10. Robert NEWELL

3.    Rebecca Newell, born July 15, 1667 at Roxbury,Sufflok, Ma. "It is also of importance to note that the Roxbury land records show that the Newell family owned land next to the Foote Family of Providence, as Rebecca Newell, a daughter of Abraham Newell, Jr., was married in the Foote home on June 4,1655
at Providence, R.I. to Henry Fowler, born Hambleton, Rutland, Eng. Died at Marmaroneck, Westchester,N.Y.


They had the following children;
