Ok, so from my spring break to your spring break...  I know I haven't been updating the site lately and have no excuse other then laziness and maybe spending too much time playing badminton with my free time.  So as I mentioned, this week is currently spring break for the high schools in HAAL and there is open practice at sl starting tuesday.  I've been asked by several people to help them with their games so I'll try to stop by and see what I could help out with and maybe get a couple of games in.  I've added a new link on my links page to the Tennyson High School badminton page so check that out.  Their site seems to be taking the high road and missing some entertaining trash talking of high school students, they need a guestbook...  According to Sandy's reviews it seems she is harder on other teams then I am, and I hope this doesn't represent the rest of the team because to all the accusations of cheating and so on I just have to say, stop crying and play better badminton.  But I hope this doesn't deter Sandy's reviews because they seem to already have begun to fall behind.
Well, the team is left now with only three games left after spring break and hopefully they make a strong finish, though they will only win one of the three matches, against Hayward of course, I hope they will put up decent numbers against Moreau and CV.
Oh yeah, I was able to finally drop by during the Arroyo game and though the team wasn't able to play the game they wanted to there were some pretty good matches at the end, after SL already lost 8, this mainly means they only won the lower ranked games but they had a decent shot, or at least should have had a decent shot with how Arroyo's team was set up, the number one boy's singles last time was in the number 3 doubles spot, yet it still didn't help.  Ok, well, I hope this week of practice will help the team and make up for not having any practice for a week (since the Arroyo game).

Been a whole 10 days since I updated my site... out enjoying my spring break, sorry to everyone checking out my site, well not totally mine now...  i have relinked my game review site for the 2003 season to one that sandy is maintaining.  So far she has reviews and players records up until the hayward game so check that out.  So, my only prediction of the season came up totally wrong against Mt. Eden, expected of more from the team, but I should have known that Linda and Winnie would put up a hell of a fight, as they were doing last season sitting in that nice number two spot.  Other news with the team since my last entry is that SL finally won their first game, this was bound to happen of course, it just depended on how far into the season the hayward game was.  They've come up close in the Arroyo game so hopefully we get that one back at home in the second half of the season.  A game not listed, I probably should get that up... is the annual exibition game against Skyline High of Oakland.  With a all girls league, our varsity girls seem to have been little compitition to them from the only game I have been able to show up to.
Other news is many more ex-players are showing up to the games and that is nice to see.  Franco has been helping out, though doesn't seem that much better, seems a little taller...  Nepitism is keeping the sport alive...  John is at some of the practices and with his staff title at the school allows for some extra options when Madson can't be there that I hope will help the team out.  Tuan from the team last year was seen at the Hayward game I think, though may not seem like a big deal, it is good to see the support for the team in the years following high school.
Since I'm making a news entry or whatever this is called, I would like to make another prediction, we just lost to CV and it would have been nice to have the game results there to help in my prediction, but begger can't be choosers, or lazy people shouldn't be asking for too much...  but since I know we lost against CV we'll probably lose against Moreau.  Score 5 - 10, winners Cindy, whoever is playing in the boy's singles number 3 spot, a mixed doubles team, and two more games from a girls category...  The guys will have a hard fight, but hopefully they will put up a good fight and maybe surprise me, but i doubt it.  Ok, well, I 'm done, I'll be at todays practice, hope it's a long one or I get a chance to play/beat Franco.  Oh, yeah, again thank you Sandy for keeping my page interesting.
