QB, WR, RB-

Herd members please take this post as what my eyes seen. I really don't feel quailfied to access QB's but, Green did not look good at all, 1st string "O" vs 1st string "D" Green had only 1 short completetion and 2 INT's out of approximately 10 plays.

He was agonizing over his poor throwing, and on one play Green went to both knees and let out a loud yell, he was upset at himself, The OL gave him time except for the time he rolled out toward Carter, big mistake.

Warner on the otherhand looked good, completed most of his passes, the longest being around 35 yards and the receiver, Henely, took it on down for a TD.

I'm saving the best for last.

Germaine looked GREAT. He's a keeper, I saw a strong arm, accurate short hit RB's out of backfield in stride. Then the cope de grace  Germaine hit Holt on the dead run on a 45yrd rope that Holt took in stride and the modest crowd gave out a gasp. It was a thing of beauty. Reminded me of one of Miller's long passes to Bruce.

Speaking of Bruce, he looked great also, he and Holt, more Bruce, can seperate from the DB's. WR #5 Daniel Jones made some nice catches.

By the way Todd Lyght was the DB trying to cover Holt.

Hill ran real well, so did Chad Levitt. Holcombe is really one big muscle,  however in one drill I watched  the  LB's beat him while he tried to pick up the blitz.

Did I mention how hotttttt it is!!

THE DBs-

The lineman were down so you needed binoculars to watch them and the sweat caused some viewing problems.

So I watched the DB's because they were right in front of me. IMHO the DB's and Safeties looked great.

They must really like Coady, they kept yelling his name, LOL You guys who have been at practice know it's not good to have your name yelled out. Lyle is a man, enough said, Dre Bly was running 1st team, McCleon looked good, Bush and  Allen put on a big hit and both were down for awhile, looked like Bush got the worst of it, but he shook it off.

SOME GOSSIP-

The bartender at the Park Side Sports Bar said he was a friend of  Wistrom, and the word on Faulk is that he'll be in camp in 10 days, it's all gossip.

The idea behind the "D" this year is to let the LB's loose, protecting them, so that they make the plays, trying to cover up weak DT's.

PS of the 4 bars around the square downtown only one had working A/C Toby Wright was a big favorite of Macombe, that was one of the first things all locals would say.

The coaches all go to one bar.. players are not allowed to go there even when they get a chance to go to town.
