Marshall Faulk. He'll be in Macomb this morning. DV may give him a play or two on Saturday night against the Fade-ahs at the Dome. Howard took some credit for being the media person that insulted Faulk with comments regarding his unwillingness to get to camp for DV and heat reasons and lack of willingness to scrimmage against old team. I think this morning' s show was hosted by Jay Randolph, Jr. (not sure maybe Mike Claiborne). Suggested maybe Howard could get a loan from Faulk. Marshall Faulk threw out the first pitch at the Cardinals game last night. (I saw it on the news last night with his #28 Rams jersey on. Awesome sight). He's got St. Louis on a string.

DV says he might tote him out there and give the fans a chance to show their enthusiasm. Probably run the FB on plays when Marshall's in there. Marshall says whatever they want me to do, I'll do.

DV had an interview last night on ESPN radio. Had major props for Tony Horne and Holcombe.

Howard on Horne: He had three plays in last night's scrimmage (remember this was Macomb fan appreciation night) that would have been 60 yd TDs. Tempered with the fact that he was playing against some of the DBs who are struggling to make the team. There's no question, though, that Horne is tremendously improved. He will return kickoffs. Could get to see quite a few offensive plays from scrimmage.

Greg Hill trade status. Rams will look at interest in Greg Hill around the league. Question is what will they offer? Wouldn't even be considering trading Greg Hill if not for the marked improvement seen in Holcombe. Mentioned that coaches never want to trade depth at strength positions.

There will be lot's of ex-Rams playing in the dome this year. Kennison, Phillips and perhaps Hill if he's traded to Detroit.

Jay Randolph (or is it Claiborne) says the Rams should sit on Hill. Get him involved somehow. Maybe some team will blow them away with an offer they can't refuse.

Howard likes Hill's attitude. He's upbeat and a big positive for the team.

QB controversy in Baltimore: Mitchell/Banks. Mitchell has a stranglehold at the quarterback position. The guy has more experience. He threw for over 4,000 yards in Miami. Struggled last year with Detroit. With his experience, it's not a surprise he's the number one quarterback in Baltimore.

Banks has struggled in camp which is where he usually shines. Having an adjustment problem with a new offense.

Last night's practice. In the last 45 minutes the went with 12-play drives. Trent Green did not throw. They're just resting his arm. He's had a lot of reps in camp. No problem though. The wanted to take good looks at Germaine and Warner. Offense moved the ball well. Nice looking style of offense: quick throws and quick decisions. A benefit of this is fewer false starts. Isaac Bruce played a decent amount. Continues to perform well and stay healthy.
