Vedic Cultural Society of British Columbia is a spiritual awareness centre located at 8200, No.5 Road, Richmond, B.C.  It started from a humble devotee's basement . The foundation of the society was laid on October 20, 1983. It has been 20 years since the foundation was laid.  The society bought a 2.5 acre property in Richmond and built the temple at 8200 No.5 Road Richmond. The estimated cost of the new building was around $1.5 million. The idols of various deities are installed at the temple. These include Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Mata Durga, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Mata Parvati, and many others.
