C. Media in a Business World
Under the Bill of Rights section 4, no law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably assembles and petitions the government for redress of grievances.  This puts the idea that media is above to any other commercial establishment. Media in a business world is untouched by any kind of regulation. The industry is also additionally protected from foreign competition. This means that only Filipino may own and or manage the mass media.

As time goes by, the number of radio and television stations increases. Eventually the competition exits prior to the growth of p Philippine professional media. During that time, radio and television offer the coarsest and most inane fare.; This only means that the industry must find ways on how to maintain their business and maximize their profit as well even without their concern of they provide for the people. This time the image of mass media has changed. These changes affect the lifestyle of people.

D. Transformation of Philippine Media

Media industry specifically television programs faces challenges on their business. Foreign media products such as films, videos, and TV programs and publication are free to enter the local market but foreign capital and expertise may not set up or manage mass media operation in the country. These products may totally affect the media industry inside the country. This is now the time of pirated products enters into scenario. It is hard to know that these products are sold by Filipino vendors even they do not know its effect to the industry itself. Eventually the image of mass media changes into something fearful. Since mass media is above to any other commercial establishment, therefore it has grown to be such a powerful institution. Perhaps it is because the mass media can shape public discourse and serve as a catalyst for change.  Perhaps because print media for instance, it can give tacit approval to corruption and even coddle a dictatorship. Perhaps it is because can inspire revolution. Then, this paper might say that mass media may transform its image by itself without any factor from the outside environment. The transformation of media affects the quality of public life in a democracy. And this time press freedom does not necessarily translate to an excellent press, or an ethical one. Press freedom becomes the freedom to sell stories, the freedom to market the news as a commodity, the freedom to turn the mass media into mass mediocrity.
Moreover, as the media transform, the people changes the way of their life. It is because mass media reflects who they are-their basest instincts and their noblest aspiration. Eventually, rallies and killing of journalists are reported everyday.  And the news is delivered in a manner and tone of voice that agitates rather than informs. This is of course right to say that the Filipinos hold the freedom sacred- for the freedom of the press belongs first to the people and only secondarily to the government or any media outfit. This time mass media is not for information dissemination but for the promotion of political figures, scurrilous statements and selling overly exaggerated stories and as well as false, vile, and foul writings. This is now the time government enters into the picture. The government imposes policies that regulate the mass media industry to promote social order.

E. Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)
The KBP was born out of the need of the Martial Law regime to give the perception that there was still freedom of the press in the country trough the regulation of broadcast media by the KBP. Now that full freedom of the press and the free enterprise system under a free competitive environment prevail, the regulatory function of KBP would no longer be necessary because the regulation is duplicated done by government agencies like national Telecommunication, Movie and Television Review Classification Board, the courts with respect to libel.
