"Trophy Care"

Your mount will last a lifetime with the proper care.

Clean your mounted deer at least once a month. The best thing I have found to clean your mount with is an old (or new) pair of nylon stockings. Put one hand into the stocking and hold the antlers securely with the other hand.

Wipe the dust off in the direction of the hair, never against the hair!

Use a little "Liquid Gold" or "Pledge" furniture polish to clean the antlers.

Clean the glass eyes with a dry "Q-Tip". If they become really dirty, use a small amount of windex on the Q-Tip. But use it only on the glass eye.

Also, clean your mount yourself. I have had many calls over the years from customers who told me that their wives were cleaning their mount and knocked it off the wall.

So, hold on to the mount while cleaning it, or take it off the wall for cleaning.

NEVER, EVER hang any mount over a working fireplace, woodstove or any other major heat source.

The intense heat will rapidly dry out the mount and cause cracking.

Do not hang your mount in direct sunlight, as this will cause fading in time.

Take these few simple steps to protect your mount and it will stay beautiful for many many years.
