Ramgopal's Professional Profile
Dr.Ramagopal is a medical graduate with post graduate education in Hospital Administration and Industrial Health. He upgrades himself regularly with continuing medical education (CME) programmes and undergoing training in the areas of industrial health and hygiene, ergonomics, occupational health, safety and environmental medicine.
He received the 1997 State Award from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka for his extensive contribution to the control of Tuberculosis in rural Karnataka.
He currently works as a Medical Expert with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Chennai.
Being a firm believer in the fact that HEALTH IS FOR ALL, he has been actively involved in offering medical assistance and organizing free health camps for the economically downtrodden. He has so far organised more than 50 such camps which has provided assistance in dental health and surgery, ophthalmology, raising awareness levels in AIDS, diabetes, etc.
