| My life has changed so much in the last few years. The greatest thing that could happen to me ever has. I was saved two years ago this coming fall. Now I have a friend that will always be there for me and that I can tell anything, Jesus. You see about 2000 years ago he went to the cross to pay for my sins. I was on his heart when God turned his back on him. The love that it took to hang on that cross between heaven and earth in shame, knowing that he had the power to come of that cross is beyond anything that I can imagine. Now I am thankful that he did not come off that cross and that he endured until the end. The cross was not the end for him, he rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion, he ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God. Now Jesus has victory of both sin and death. He has come into my heart and through him I have the same victory. Does that mean that I will never die? No. Christ died but is risen. I will also die someday but, the Bible says to be absent of the body is to present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Does that mean that I never sin? No. The Bible says that all have sinned (Romans 3:23). I am not a perfect person but, because Jesus was perfect I am made perfect through him. There is no greater love than that which God has shown through his son. What good is it to believe? There is coming a day that the Lord shall come for the believers that are saved, called the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17) I may die before that time comes but, because I believe when I die my soul shall be with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). I know that either way I will be forever with the Lord and be eternally happy. The Bible says that God shall wipe away all tears, there will be no death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). This is the promise that I look forward to the most. However, those that do not believe will live eternity in hell where there will be "wailing and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:42, 50) and also where "the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44, 46, 48). The word worm in the Bible is used for maggots, so those that die without Christ will be eternally tortured, they will be in eternal fire, and maggots will eternally eat their flesh, yet they will never die! That is not something that I want. I would rather go to Heaven where the streets are paved with gold and there will be singing and shouting forever. And I hope that all who read this page would accept Christ as their savior and be baptized, so that I may see you in Heaven. God bless all who read this and believe. |
