Barbara and I drove out to Mineral Point with our picnic basket to enjoy a pleasant lunch along the trail. When we got there we found the Red Bull vehicle pictured in the photo parked in the spacious parking lot. The driver was there to provide visitors with samples of Red Bull. We accepted a couple of cans and walked down the trail to an area with pcinic benches and fantastic views of the lake. After lunch we took a short hike along the point's interpretive trail.
The main trail connects the Mineral Point Picnic Area with the Green Bay Campground on Lake Pend Oreille.

If you get tired of driving on Road 532, you can turn off onto Road 2672 after 1.3 miles and follow it to the Green Bay Campground where you can pick up the trail and hike the 2.1 miles to the Mineral Point Picnic Area. Toilet facilities are located in the parking area adjacent to the picnic area.
