1972 Rally Nova
The restore started April 10, 2002
ThThis web page is about the restoration of my 1972 Rally Nova. I will be making minor modifactions to the car.  A/C, 3 duece Manifold, power disc brakes, and a color change.  As I progress in the restore I will add pictures and info .
THE RESOTRE BEGINS
4/10/02 : Took out the battery and drained the radiator.
4/11/02 : Took the front bumper and front clip off.
4/18/02 : Tonight I took the motor out. I will put up some pictures as soon I get them developed.
4/23/02 : Put the motor on the engine stand and when I went to move the Transmission I found out that it has a newer Buick Trans.  I am so bummed.
This is the car the day I started it
5/02/02 : Today I started taking things off the firewall I removed the wiring harness from the fire wall.  When you do this make sure you put some plastic wrap over the fuse block so it doesn't get the grease full of dirt.  I also took the wiper motor, heater fan box and the cowl that covers the wiper assembly.

If you would likle more pictures, or more info on the car  Please send me  e-mail
5/7/02 : Today I started on the interior.  I took out all the seats, and back carpeting, package tray and seat belts.  I took the drivers side door off.
Due to Geocities limiting the sownload time I have made a new page  HERE
5/12/02 : Big day got a lot done.  kick panels are out, parking brake, instrument cluster, glove box, ash tray, heater box. Make sure that when you start unhooking wires that you write down where they go.  I just labeled them with masking tape.  I also wrote out a map showing the routing of the wiring harness under the dash.
5/17/02 : Today I took out the package tray, and back window to find the first rusted part.  The glue that sealed the bottom of the glass was gone allowing water to get in and start to rust.  The car is just about a shell now not much more.
This is  hoist my Dad built.  Works great.
