The Week of January 21
Forgotten behind, Alison picked up Rafe's diary and began to read his most recent entries. Shock took over from curiosity as Rafe's declaration of love for Alison stared up at her from the pages. Confused and bewildered the entry confessed that Rafe had given up everything to be with Alison again.
Returning
to the Recovery Room, Rafe caught Alison red-handed. She quickly stuttered
out a semi-coherent reply and returns the journal, insisting that they are
just friends. Both cover their true feelings for each other as Ali grabs her
take out dinner and heads for the door.
Rafe decides he needs to find
a more appropriate home for his journal and chooses the Recovery Room trash
can. Meanwhile, Ali snuggles up to Jamal but Rafe's written declaration runs
through her head and she ends up pulling away feigning sickness.

After
being convinced to follow Casey to the Recovery Room, Paige "senses"
Rafe and they run toward the park in attempt to gather their thoughts. Rafe's
hot on their heels, however, and after a brief conversation with Lucy he finally
catches up with them. He demands to know their reasons for being in Port Charles.
Amy confesses that she was killed by a con-artist boyfriend, and that she's
always wanted to prove to her father that blind people can accomplish things.
Casey died overdosing on cocaine, and has returned to "get some more
partying" done before she heads "upstairs." Paige, the only
one to admit a direct connection to Port Charles admitted that she had decided
that she wanted to finally put her feelings for Kevin behind her by confronting
them head-on via the portrait. Rafe agrees to help the wayward angels "in
transition" but are (in a blinding light) transported from Port Charles.
Crazy
Valerie is told once and for all, by Jamal that he does not have feelings
for her. Val continues to deny their "break up" and insists they
are united by the daughter they share. Jamal refuses to listen to her as Val
blames Alison for his inability to reciprocate her feelings and for her admittance
into the hospital. Jamal reminds her that it was her attempt at suicide that
put her there, not Alison. He leaves a crying and vengeful Valerie who later
knocks an orderly unconscious and makes her escape from General Hospital.
Alison
confesses to Livvie that she had read Rafe's journal and reveals its contents.
Livvie, confused, wonders why she is so quick to run from him just because
he admitted his feelings. Alison worriedly admits that it is because she thinks
she may like him back. Trying to be sensible, Livvie reminds her that Rafe
is an angel and there is no way that they could ever be together.

The wayward angels arrive in a mysterious white room that none of them have ever seen before.
Alison continues to pack for her getaway with Jamal, but is again stricken with memories of Rafe. She remembers their time in the park, in particular when she gave him her scarf and when she granted his request for a kiss.
Alison: I
think you forgot what it feels like to be cold!
Rafe: No... I think I forgot what it feels like to be alive... until
now....

Alison: What do
you want... What do you want more than anything in this world?
Rafe: I .... I want... I want to kiss you
Alison: And who's stopping you?
Alison also recalls her conversation with Livvie and in the present reminds herself that she and Jamal just need some time together to get back to their old ways.

Back in Heaven, the 4 angels are chastised
by Ed who tells them they are being too sloppy and have had too many near
misses. An obviously disgruntled Rafe asks to be taken back, but the ladies
insist they stay on Earth and finish their missions. Ed allows them to continue,
admitting that he felt bad that their lives were cut short, but reminds them
they are running out of time. Rafe wants to know what the 5th chair is for
in the "transition room," and Ed avoids the question insisting that
they work together as their actions will affect the citizens of Port Charles.

The doorbell rings and Alison is confronted by the newly escaped Valerie. Val pulls out a gun and says that the problem is no longer getting Jamal to love her. She says that she wants Jamal to suffer just like she suffered when their daughter Hope was taken from her.
Jack,
Livvie and Jamal walk in. Jamal gets between Alison and Valerie and tries
to elate her nerves promising that he will do whatever she wants him to do
if she puts the gun down. She doesn't buy it and Jamal lunges for the gun,
a shot rings out.
