The Week of April 15

April 15: Alison realizes that Rafe had to have been there, and Rebecca comes out of the painting and asks if she had pleasant dreams? Ali says that Rafe touched her and they laughed and made love and it was because of her and her candle. Rebecca tells her not to be silly, it is her love and belief that helped open the door. She doesn't believe that Rafe came to Ali and Ali asks where the rose came from then? Rafe touched her and the rose was there. Rebecca is stunned and can't understand it. Rebecca says that there can only be one explaination, she has the same gift that Rebecca does! They are kindred spirits. Alison asks if she can bring Rafe back now too? She is beyond happy about everything and can't believe that the candles made everything happen. She figures that why should she stand there talking about Rafe, when she can have him there with her. Ali goes to light the candle again, but Rebecca blows out the flame and tells her that she can't let her do that.

She is thrilled that the candle helped Ali connect with Rafe, but when one has a gift like they do- it has to be used carefully. When you use something so powerful and use it for personal gain, its an abuse of a priviledge. Alison is confused and thought that that was the point of the candles. Rebecca explains that they can't just be used for themselves, they are meant to be shared. But, Ali argues, the people of the town turned against Rebecca and she thinks they should keep it their little secret. Rebecca scolds her, saying that Ali should know better- its a brand new era, Alison admitted it herself. People are more open minded and are more willing to believe. But what about Rafe? Rebecca tells her that it needs to be shared and she needs her help, she can help right a wrong that happened. Alison can help finish Rebecca's lifes work. This time people will believe and maybe finally she will be able to rest in peace. Alison is more than willing to help with their gift. They can open up their own little candle shop. Rebecca is willing to teach her everything she needs to know.

Rebecca sorts through various viles- tears of a lover, baby's breath, wood moss, rose hips, sage and cinnomon and lavender. She is teaching Alison how to make a candle and ask Ali goes to pour the contents, Rebecca warns her that if its not done properly, they can all feel its effects. Rebecca smiles and says that she always envisioned having a daughter she can teach her trade too. Now they will need to say the spell, but they need to say them with belief. Together they chant the spell. Rebecca instructs Ali to say it again, and she repeats it over and over as Rebecca goes back into the painting.

"Breaking free, moving high, aiming up toward the sky. Floating, soaring ever on. Days of wont are long gone."

April 16: Alison receives a call from Jack who wants to meet up with her, but Ali stops him from coming to the barn and agrees to meet him at her house. She is sittin gin a circle of candles and says to herself that no one can see what she is doing because they won't understand. She blows out the candles and Rebecca steps out of the painting asking if its wise to meet up with her friends at a time like that. Ali swears she will be gone for only a little while. Rebecca warns her not to trust too easily because they may not think what she wants them to. Alison agrees and leaves.

At Jack and Livvie's Jack says that he's seen some crazy things lately and he thinks they relate back to Rebecca. He tells her about the photographs and how Rebecca was standing right next to her in them. She asks to see them, but Jack explains that it disappeared. Ali tries to convince him that it might be his imagination and Jack tells her about the second photograph. But again, he can't show her proof. He brings up Livvie's dreams about Alison crying out for help admist flames. Jack wants to see the candles and Alison says no, she won't let him or anyone else persecute Rebecca all over again. She explains that Rebecca is is innocent and she believes its not at all like Caleb- dispite what Livvie might think. Jack is not easy swayed and tells her that Rebecca put a curse on the town and asks for one good reason for why she isn't. He wants to take a look at Rebecca's stuff to be sure she isn't a witch. Alison returns to the barn with Jack to find Livvie burning all of Rebecca's things. Ali is in shock and Livvie says that she will not let Rebecca win!

April 17: Alison is in disbelief that Livvie distroyed everything her grandmother left her. Livvie defends herself saying she doesn't want her friend to become like she did with Caleb. Why would Ali have to recite spells to make candles?! Alison defends her grandmother and says she isn't a witch. Livvie goes to throw the pink rose into the fire, but Alison in a warning voice tells her not to dare. She demands for the rose, and Livvie questions its importance. She says that its from Rafe, not from Rebecca. Jack takes Ali's side and says that she is taking things way too far. Alison is breaking into tears and says that Rafe came to her in a dream and its the only thing she has left of Rafe. Livvie provokes Jack and they get into an argument about her behaviour. Livvie grabs the rose and Alison fights with her for it. Jack pulls Alison back and the force throws Livvie into the fence where a bean falls on her head, knocking her to the ground.

Rafe comes into Ed's office, he's been called. Ed is furious and Rafe is sarcastic and hits with biting remarks. He wants to know why Rafe left Ali a pink rose. He isn't around any more and he never will be around ever again! Rafe says that he knows that it wasn't technically allowed but there are loop holes. He says he had a dream and he felt as though they had never been apart and apparently they had the same dream. He just wanted her to know that he was there. Ed warns him not to bend another rule or all hell will break loose- literally! His time with Alison is finished! Rafe screams that he knows that. Its torture for him because he can't go back for 5 minutes and that's why Alison won't let go. He ups the time to 15 minutes and says that he would do anything for just 15 minutes with Alison. Ed warns him not to say that because someone might be listening. Rafe yells that he doesn't care who hears, he would do anything!

Livvie is okay and blames Jack for taking Alison's side. She lays into Jack and believes Jack thinks she's crazy. She came there as a friend trying to keep Alison from harm and now they are turning their backs on her. They are going to start to think she's off her rocker, like her mother. Livvie races off, and Jack goes after her. Alison is stunned and picks up the shattered rose. She can't believe that all of Rebecca's things are all gone and so is Rafe. Ali returns inside the cleared out barn. all the crates and trunks are empty. She looks as though she's going to cry as she sits down on one. She hears Rafe's voice and remembers telling Rafe that she has enough time to memorize his face. He promises to always be with her and she will always be his angel- forever. She holds up the crumpled rose and Rebecca tells her not to cry. She's there for her, and one day she will be happy again. Alison apologizes for Livvie's actions and Rebecca tells her that she has all her secrets locked inside her head and they will have their candle shop. It is their destiny.

Ed tells him that he's punished for that stunt with the rose and is on conscience duty for 200 years. Rafe says that he's going to continue to reach out to Alison if he can find the chance. Ed warns him and smacks him with a file, telling him he'd better smarten up or he will suffer severe consequences. Alone, Rafe says that he's sorry to Alison and wishes they could have said a proper goodbye and that he's going to keep on trying to get back to her and he will find a way.

April 18: Rebecca is instructing Alison how to keep the candles when Lucy arrives. Rebecca rushes back into the painting and notices the many candles that Ali created and set up. (There's pretty much an entire store in the barn now). Ali says that she made them all with a little help from a friend. Alison says that putting the shop together wasn't too hard and Lucy asks about her "friends" saying that she wants to meet them- they have great taste. Ali holds up a sign she had carved. The store is going to be called "The Pink Rose" :) :) :) (I LOVE the name ;-) Alison explains where the name came from and remembers her "dream" with Rafe. Lucy doesn't understand why Rafe had to leave, and Ali wants to change the subject. Lucy mentions that Kevin is also hesitant about the shop and wants to test the candles and Lucy thinks its a good idea too. Alison brushes it off and asks her if she can help with hanging the sign. Lucy takes a polaroid of Ali by the sign. Lucy wants to figure out advertising techniques, but Ali thinks they will sell themselves. At that note, people start coming in wanting to buy candles. As Lucy is selling, Kevin and Livvie walk in.

Livvie asks where everything came from, she burned it all! Alison says she doesn't need to explain anything. Lucy says that she didn't havea chance to figure things out before she got customers trampling her. Livvie thinks that Alison got magic to help her clean the barn up. Livvie goes to the customers and tells them not to buy them, they are dangerous. Kevin tries to stop her, but Livvie dares them to light one, she can prove that they are trouble. Alison tells her to light the "trust" one, but Livvie continues to get defensive and says that she burned them all yesterday and suddenly they are back! She walks out of the barn. Lucy thinks Livvie might be cracking under the pressure and might need some help. Alison says bye to them as they leave. Alone, Rebecca appears and says that times haven't changed as much as Alison thought. People are bringing their doubts and fears into the barn and they take that fear and turn it into anger toward her. She needs to keep Livvie and her father out of the shop or they will both be sorry.

April 19: Rafe sits at a desk taking calls and says that his job is very boring. He tells Benny not to steal pantyhose- its not worth it. Ed comes in and says that he thinks Rafe has found his true calling. He asks how the work is going and Rafe sarcastically tells him how his progress is going. He says that Alison is down there with all her friends turning their backs on her. Ed says that he knew he had a limited time. Rafe wants to know how he can stop caring what happens to her when he had promised he wouldn't leave without saying a proper goodbye. Ed shouldn't have let Rafe get involved. Ed tries to protest, but Rafe tells him to shut up! He doesn't know a thing about life. Ed tells him to simmer down, but Rafe will have nothing of it. Ed will never understand. He's warned to have humility. Rafe feels that Alison is getting into things that she shouldn't, but Ed can't. Its over his head, he can't help him this time. Rafe screams to take his rules and go to hell. Ed gets it, but he's sorry to hear him say it and he leaves the room. Rafe gets frustrated and throws his things around.

Jamal and Jack join Ali at the shop and are amazed by the progress. They aren't there to buy anything and Jack says that they think she is losing herself in the shop. They are there to take her away for her own good. Alison says over her dead body are they taking her away. Ali doesn't want anyone's help. There's something wacky going on, and they want to know what's going on. Rafe split on her and does she think he would want to see her like that. Coldly, Alison says that Rafe didn't hurt her, but Jamal did. They argue about Livvie and whether Alison needs their help. She tells them to leave and the boys grab Alison and Jamal takes her out of the barn. Jack pulls out the old camera and starts to take pictures. He wants to know what is there and what isn't. (I think he also develops the film that was already in the camera)

Jamal admits that he hates Rafe and what Rafe has done to Alison. He's gone! Alison gets it but she wants to know why he's trying to make things worse. Jamal says that he cares what happens to her and wants her to let him in. She says that she will listen to what he has to say, she just needs to splash some water on her face etc. Jamal is suspicious but lets her go and do what she asked. He hears the water running and Ali returns shortly after. He's suprised and Jamal says that he's glad she sees things his way. Its important to let friends help each other but he gets really tired and lays down. He can't keep his eyes open or concentrate and he quickly falls asleep. From behind her back Alison pulls out a burning candle. It does work, just like Rebecca said it would.

Alison returns to the barn and lights the love candle and says a spell to bring Rafe back to her. She begs him to come to her.

The phone up in the conscience room rings and Rafe is stunned, they aren't supposed to receive calls. He answers it, and its a British voice telling him to open the door. Rafe doesn't want to, because he's not supposed to. But the voice tells him that even angels have free will. Rafe thinks its a test and its against the rules. The voice tells him that he's never been one for rules, no one is watching except him (the conscience)- so open the door. Rafe inches toward the door, but he's nervous about it. The voice tells him not to fight it, to make the leap. Rafe opens it and finds himself in a hallway. The voice tells him to join him but Rafe is hesitant because the hall seems dark. He's told to go and out from the darkness is James. Its a pleasure to see Master Rafe again- would he be interested to make a deal?
