It is not easy to define leadership because

It is an art which defies precise definition.Text Box: Peter Druker: LEADER: someone who has followers.
John C Maxwell: leadership is influence-nothing more nothing less.
La piere & Farnsworth: leadership is a behavior of other people more than their behavior affects that of the leader.
Warren Bennis:
Leadership is a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues, and taking effective actions to realize your own leadership potential.
Kevin Freiberg & Jackie Freiberg: Leadership is a dynamic relationship based on mutual influence & common purpose between
Between leaders & collaborators in which both are moved to higher levels of motivation & moral development as they affect real, intended change.

It like beauty, is often determined by the eye of the beholder.

It is recognition, a privilege which is earned by actions, by strength of character and not  by position.

Still , let us try defining leadership.

Leadership is the actions of one or more persons that influence the behavior of other  persons (group) to work together to reach the desired goal.

In order to understand the actual concept of leadership it is very essential to answer questions like:

“Who is a leader?”

“How should the leader follower relationship be?"

Let us try answering these questions
