Municipal Corporation of Rajkot published widely in the local newspapers about
the workshop and invited public to give suggestions. Nearly 300 suggestions were
received. Sector wise analysis was done before hand, which served as base
document for the workshop.

elected members,
representatives from various NGO’s and leading citizens participated in the

Segment of the society for different set of issues for all sector of development the
participants representing various stakeholder groups undertook an exercise of
identifying the vision statement of Rajkot City and conducted a detailed SWOT
(Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis and based on the SWOT
analysis they suggested the strategies and possible plan of action to achieve
the vision.
