Hi, my name is Karen Elizabeth Waters. Most of you know me as Karen...in the music world, I go by my middle name, Elizabeth, in the Wiccan community, I�m known as Amethyst Rose Silver Moon. And to top that...in the Tori world, better known as the Ears With Feet community, I�m known as Supernova Juice. Wow, I know...I could make your head spin with all my names...sometimes, I wonder who I am myself. ;o) I decided, after being a long and faithful dedicated EWF and a survivor still trying to cope with not only my past abuse, but my ongoing health problems, that it�s about time that this small town of mine needs a little RAINN. For over a year now, I�ve been through some major mental heartaches, and I�m still trying to break free of these chains. All the therapy and the constant changing of medications for depression, mood swings and anxiety attacks just haven�t been cutting it. It�s about time I put my foot down and do it on my own or at least try to. Gee, I feel like I making a political speech. No, but seriously, not only have I been violated, but many women and children and even men have been violated against their will. RAINN may not be able to send the troops out to our rescue, but they can be there when we need them, 24 hours a day. Life is precious, even if it may seem terrible at times. Even when those who we have turned to for help or tried to talk to have walked away or ignored us, someone out there will listen. So, before you think that bottle of pills in that medicine cabinet is an easy way out or that butcher knife in the kitchen is sharp enough to kill the pain for good, think about it...call someone...if a friend or family member won�t listen, those at RAINN will. That�s why RAINN is here! That�s why this fundraiser is here, so it can be here! Don�t try and hide the pain and pretend it never happen because all it will do is destroy you in the end. Forget those who won�t listen, even if they are your parents, or your brother or sister, or even your best friend in the whole wide world. Unlock the silence!
