OK, that's it, g'night
Haha, gotcha!
Anyway, just got home from Charlotte...Bitch of
a drive home--accidentily missing a sign or no sign for a turnoff, I took
a different way home than I did there...btu it worked out OK--only ended
up losing maybe fifteen minutes...
MXPX kicked ASS. I such a great time. The screwed up some of the songs and admitted it and fucked aroudn a bit then fixed them...on one song (can't member which--all a blur...i'll chime in on that one l8r once i have a chance to listen to it again.) they had an audience member come and help sing...she did a pretty decent job too :) The crowd was intense and the energy level was huge. The whole place seemed to turn into a mass of jumping, writhing, and, of course, moshing bodies...I loved every second of it.
The second opening band, 22 Jacks, or Jack's 22...not sure which, wasn't bad either. They covered "Message in a Bottle" by Foreigner (?) to close it out...too cool. MXPX of course topped that one with their cover song...Those who understand will know the song, and the band as well...Jenn?
Work went OK...the run this morning just about killed me--lordz I'm out of shape. We ran ability groups and most of the runners in my category opted to run slow group...leaving all the 12 minute minus runner for me to run with...well, I couldn't keep their pace and had to slow down after about three miles. Good thing the entire FOUR of us weren't running in formation...i would have died for sure. Made up lables for my filing system, talked with SSG Wade about the FTX we have next week, about my CLS class, updated legal status, etc...but the biggest, and best part of the work day (besides getting to wear civilian clothes at the cost of $2.00 for the HHD family support group) was SSG recommending me to CPT Snow for promotion under the accelerated soldier tract...12 months time in grade--I now have 13 :) So i'll just have to wait and see if that pans out. I would so love to be pinned E-4 next payday activities in December :) :) :) :)
Alright, so that's it...no time to wax depressive or moody
or self exclusive or forlorn or any of that. it's time for bed.
g'night (for real this time)
I lost my ticket to the Ben Harper show tonight. one of two possibilities--someway, somehow in the move, or it went through the wash. Either way, looks like I'm free tonight, unfortunetly. I guess I could still go--i doubt it's sold out and it's general admission...but then again, I don't know if I should really stretch my budget for it...not to mention, I got very little sleep last night (3.5 hours) and I kind of just want to crash super early tonight...
Oh, and now Beal is moving in with me for a couple weeks
until he finds a new place to live...and i overheard what seemed like bad
news about my promotion--like the Commander can't make it happen yet...
:(
Grrrrrrr!
but then again, the staff duty driver today is kind of cute...i think she's attached though :(
