Last Day.  5 mile “motivational” battery run in @ 1 hour – slow pace DS Ellington says.  All three platoons made honor platoon standards, not a competition for 1 slot at all, as they had us believing throughout basic, but a “meet the standard” deal.

So many ppl are complaining/whining about the run.  Even now, after 9 weeks, ppl still can’t suck it up.

Looking back, and grad practice driving it home, the most worthwhile/exciting part of basic?  The collage of people from all over the nation coming together under one roof.  All c. 180 ppl in this battery I would never have even seen b4, had I not come here.  So many ppl form this short period of my life will be missed.
