Smoked several times between classes on Loyalty, Honor, Suicide prevention, rape, etc., but nothing I couldn't handle -- very light smokings in my estimation -- course I'm getting quite accustomed to them now so...We had morning PT consisting of approx 2 1/2 miles at the usual double time formation. Seems like 2nd PLT get to eat first now over 3rd & 4th (there is no 1st PLT this cycle) usually -- not complaining really -- but I wonder if the other DS's Redd, Valiente, Fox, Ellington, etc. are giving "honors" to Bryant & Drudy & Wynder -- the latter two both ex special forces "drafted" not volunteered into being DS - for a two year commitment -- Wynder was talking about that and I could see the resentment & even depression in his voice about it -- SF train 2 years then he got stuck here...We supposedly get our M16's Wednesday. PT is muscular training/ endurance tommorrow...can you say Down...UP...Down..........UP...etc. etc.

Gonna be a late night 2220 now -- waiting to...actually just put my wash in -- so I'll be in bed about 2400...Finally got my rank insignia on my BDU's -- got 'em yesterday from the PX goers...PFC GV -- I felt happy proud to be wearing 'em...

DS Ellington came in, pissed we were here in the laundryroom, 9 of us. Mandated laundry room off limits aT 2330, 45 mikes from now...I may just squeak by...but my clothes will prolly be a bit damp -- fucking Dick. DS Bryant said we had all night for laundry -- till 0400..."All Hail Hail Artillery, King of Battle Follow Me." "Army life is not my style -- got me looking like Gomer Pile..."

Coming down with a cold. Great time to be averaging 4 1/2 to 5 hours sleep. Drinking shit loads of water --just filled it from the laundry tap, rahter than the 2nd PLT latrine -- probably less germs down here.

4 days of BCT are done already, had to believe but it's true -- and we haven't even done anything exciting yet...unless you count the repeated smokings...I never did get a chance to try calling home again -- hope they're not worried -- last letter was last Tuesday. Wrote a letter to Christa and one to Ed but I forgot to mail them today...dummy...
