Even after just a couple weeks--more like 1 1/2, I've grown attached to 1st Platoon-it's barraks & inhabitants. Such a close bonding occurs between mature men, taken from their normal life and put together for a singular cause -- far from home, friends, family, everything one knows, essentially. We have nothing now but each other, friendship, our common goals -- BCT, getting the hell out of Reception...It's a new brotherhood, a new family, a new life, together. All our lives assimilated together, various backgrounds, etc.

7 of us remain here in the 1st Platoon barraks. The rest were moved to the FTB barraks to fill the bunks left by the departing remedials--those who passed their PT test finally...Breese did not pass apparently, poor gal...

Hard work pays off, us 7 were chosen for our hard work & dedication by Sgt. I feel sorry for the guys who moved, Angerhauser, Betts, Mendoza, Ewalt, etc...I don't like the ppl in FTB, immature and just plain not into the realization of reality.

Got 1st Platoon to put their hometown locations on my travel map, circle & write their last names...if nothing else to remember, there's this & that.

I have solitary fire guard duty tonight from 2400-0100...Sucks but being home makes it worth it...Good PT today...more PR practice work...foods made me flatulent.

Masturbated a couple nights ago...1st time in weeks. (ed note: why I waited however long to note it, I dunno...lack of importance?)
