A personal joke to me, this (although the whole section actually is). I could never find enough sweetened words to thank the poor sedentary mammals who wake up at 5 a.m. and go to the place they call 'office' at 6 and gulp tasteless sandwiches at 12 and get back to the place they call 'home' by 5 p.m. -- the cubicled working-class, unparalelled in the history of mankind, the late 20th-century innovation of multinational corporations -- Bill Gates is one of the geniuses that got this brilliant idea of salarymen the undeserved title of 'normal'. Cubicled people have been one of my personal goldmines; they never fail to inspire me to ridicule them anew. I love them!
