Meet Directions
Take 528 West To Orlando
Go through the .75 cent toll by the airport
Take the Sand Lake Road Exit after the toll (merges to the right)
Sand Lake runs parallel to 528 until Orange Ave.
Take a right onto Orange Ave. Stay on Orange Ave. for about 4-5 miles (this is just a guess)
You are headed for Cypress Grove Park on W. Holden Ave. You will pass through (the towns of) Pine Castle and Edgewood before coming to W. Holden. You will also pass W. Oak Ridge Road and then Gaitlen Ave. (directly to the right of W. Holden). If you pass Kelsey Road--you have gone too far.
Take a left onto W. Holden, cross the RR tracks and the park will be in plain site on your left

Note: All parents that can/want to drive athletes other than their own must have the Vehicle Insurance Form and Volunteer Form turned in before they can transport athletes to the meet. Since we REALLY need parents to drive to this meet, please turn those forms in right away. If you need some forms please contact either coach.

Team Dinners
Many thanks to the Layers and the Dorntons (and Big Frank's golf carts) for hosting the team dinner last Friday. It is greatly appreciated. Here is the schedule so far for the team dinners (please contact Coach Sage for any corrections):

Region and State are not needed because the varsity team will be staying overnight for those meets.

If any parents would like to pick up an open date, please let Coach Sage know. Arlette Kerr (Krystal's mom) and Katie Codlin-Wilson (Chase's mom) have both offered their help to any parents that are hosting a dinner. Please call them.

Volunteer Coordinator
Speaking of Katie, she has graciously offered to act as the team's volunteer coordinator. She will be making sure all the parents that plan on driving to the meets have all their paperwork in and she will be maintaining a log of who drove, how far and for how long as the school system now requires. She will also be contacting parents that volunteered for duty at the Raider Classic. Thanks Katie, with such a large group this year and the new regulations, your help is greatly appreciated.

Schedule Update/Looking Ahead
We have added a meet to the schedule. The JV teams will be competing against Cocoa Beach on Thursday, September 19. The meet will probably start at 5:00PM. This will allow the JV teams to have a competition that week since only the varsity will be going to flrunners.com.

We WILL be going to flrunners.com and staying at the Best Western (863-421-6929) in Haines City. If any parents would like a room, please call on your own. The rate is $64.

Raider Classic
At the parent meeting last Wednesday night we signed up volunteers for the Raider Classic. If you couldn't make the meeting, but would like to volunteer, please contact Coach Sage this week. By the end of the week we will be distributing a meet job duty list for all the volunteers. We will need help all day on Friday, September 27 and all morning on the 28th.
