Chapter 4: Discovering Allies

Tori turned her car quickly into the driveway of the Tomoe beach-house. Picture perfect, nothing like their relationship in being cousins. Something was up with those two and she was determined to find out what it was!
Tori was almost positive that Chantale was the Pink ranger and Shi was the Storm Grey ranger that she had seen today. Throwing her van into park Tori flung the door open and stormed her way over to the front door. Pounding loudly on it she waited for someone, anyone to answer.

Shi looked over at the door. She had been watching a motocross championship. She sighed getting up to answer the angry pounding of her door. Opening it, she was greeted by her new blond friend. "What the hell Tori? Chan is trying to nap." The dark haired girl looked at her. "Come in and be quiet. Pink is asleep and I like to keep her that way."
Tori gave Shi a very puzzled look then smiled and nodded. "I knew it!" She said a huge smile gracing her beautiful face.
Shi's face dropped dramatically. 'Oh shit.' She thought. 'We're busted.' Shi threw the door shut and motioned for Tori to sit down. "Well since you know I guess you wanna hear the whole thing right?" Tori nodded and Shi sighed. "Ok, I'll start from the beginning..."

At Ninja Ops, Cam smirked. "There she is. Her location is a beach house owned by some one named Shi Tomoe."
Hunter and Dustin looked at each other. "No way Dude." Dustin said. "It could not possibly be them."
Hunter shook his head. "We'll then Dustin. who do you think it is?"
"It could not be them dude, no way." Dustin shook his head not wanting to believe the two newcomers where the two new rangers.
The guys looked at him like he had lost his cookies. Dustin sighed loudly "Ok, I'm saying it's not them cause I was over there today and there was nothing strange and or weird there. SO they can't possibly be rangers."
The guys were shocked. Dustin had been over at a girls house.
Blake was the first to find his voice. "Dude, was this Shi person there?" he asked.
Dustin shook his head and said "No, it was just Chantale, her cousin."
The guys burst out laughing. Dustin, the yellow wind ranger had been over at a girls house, not just any girl but a possible new ranger, all alone.
"Dustin, were you able to keep yourself in line and not do any damage?" Hunter gazed at his friend.
Dustin sighed. "Chantale said that Shi was out surfing. They own like fifteen or twenty miles of beach."
Cam whistled. "They must be fairly wealthy."
The rest of the guys nodded.

Meanwhile, Shi looked at Tori. "Well Tor?" Shi waited for the worst knowing it could very well get that way. She was in shock over being figured out so quickly.
Tori offered a small smile. "I kinda figured it out when you called Chantale "Pink" a few minutes ago, and also because when the Pink Ranger landed on her wrist today, she screamed in pain, and that's what happened to Chantale earlier today."
Shi nodded. "I'm glad you were able to figure that out. Guess I though we had been more careful then we were. But you can't tell anyone. Not even Sensei. They have to figure it out for themselves." Tori nodded, and both girls smiled at each other.

At Ninja Ops., "We have to get over there." Shane demanded. "But how?"
"Well Dustin, Hunter and I have our bikes." Blake said. "Their house in one the beach."
The boys nodded.
"Unless Cam wants to drive you all." Sense spoke up looking at his son.
Cam had a look of fear on his face. "Oh no! I'm not driving these guys over there. We can double up and someone ride solo." he said.
"Cam." Blake looked at the green samurai. "We are not going to misbehave."
Hunter snorted and shook his head. "Enough I am taking my motorbike." He shoot cam a look that read coward and stalked off to his bike.
Dustin whistled. "That was way harsh Dudes."
The others picked themselves up off the chairs or floor they sitting on and started after Hunter. Shane was doubling up with Dustin and Cam with Blake, they were going to find this beach house if it killed them.

Hunter was long gone remembering something his Sensei taught him about tracking those with power. He contracted on Shi, Tori, and Chantale. He could sense them getting closer to him as he road. He smirked knowing the others were following him as quickly as they dared.
Parking oint eh beach, Hunter walked up to the house and knocked on the doorwall. He spotted Shi and Tori talking. They both Jumped.
Shi got up and walked over opening the door. she blinked and smirked. "Hello Hunter are the others coming?"
"Yes they will be here shortly." Hunter spoke quietly.
"Come in." Shi motioned past her and into her house. Hunter walked din and took a seat near the girls.
Hunter fell onto the couch and waiting for either of the girls to start talking.
"Hunter, why are you here?" Tori asked.
Hunter glared at her.
"OK THAT'S IT!" Tori yelled before standing up in front of Hunter and slapping him across the face hard enough to hear a crack.
Luckily, or unluckily enough, the others had walked in to see Tori loose her temper and slap Hunter.
The older of the thunder brothers sat there shocked holding his face.
"You selfish jerk! Just because you think I'm some trashy little whore for dating your brother doesn't mean you have to act like it's the end of the world! He and I are dating! There will be a time for me and him alone, for him and you alone, and the three of us! GET USED TO IT!" Tori screamed at the top of her lungs before storming out of the room and upstairs past Chantale's room and into the bathroom.
"Blake go after her." Shi commanded. "I know you want to."
Blake disappeared after Tori quicker then Shi spoke. The dark haired girl looked at Hunter. "We need to talk. Outside now." Looking at the others." Dustin play host. You know where everything is in the kitchen. There is bottled water in the fridge."
Dustin nodded.
"Outside with you Hunter. We are talking." Shi commanded.

Blake tore up the stairs and nearly collided with the sleepy and injured Chantale.
"What's going on?" She asked.
Blake sighed "Tori came up here and disappeared. Do you know where she might be?" He asked kindly.
Chantale hobbled down the hallway towards Shi's room and stopped at the bathroom door to the sound of crying. Holding her good hand out she stopped Blake and told him to leave. "She's upset and only a female understands...I'll be down in a bit"
Blake nodded and set off back down the stairs while Chantale prepared herself to deal with the emotional mess that was Tori.

Outside on the beach Shi turned and looked at Hunter. "Jealousy is a bitch isn't it?"
Hunter sighed. "I am just not used to sharing."
"Get used to it Hunter. Your sibling and Tori are bonding in a way that most would never understand." Shi spoke softly.
Hunter sighed. "That is what I am afraid of."
"Don't be." Shi said softly. "I understand better then you know." Wincing a bit.

Inside in the frount room Dustin handed out bottles to the guys. One to each they sat down and realized a motocross show was on. That surprised them a bit.
Dustin sighed. "So why did you come back Blake?"
"Chantale incepted me. Sent me back." Blake sighed. "Where is Hunter?"
Dustin pointed outside "I wouldn't go out there Dude. Shi and Hunter are probably butting heads with each other again."
They laughed.
"Those two are made for each other. Wanna lock them in a closet?" Blake laughed at himself. "Though I don't think that be a good idea..."
"Revenge." Shane said laughing. "Oh I could see them getting along just to get out and pounce who ever locked them up."

Hunter looked at her. "How could you possibly understand?" He glared at her. His fury suddenly boiling over what she had just said.
Shi looked at him and glared as well. "Let's go." Dropping into fighting stance.
Hunter accepted the challenge, the two began to spar. They moved fast and furiously. Neither holding back, full contact and full hard punishing blows they delivered to each other.

Cam blinked. "Don't tell me they are fighting." As he looked outside.
Shane looked at Cam and said "Ok! They aren't fighting!" and received a smack in the back of the head from Tori.
Chantale came up behind them hobbling. "Hey guys! Nice of you to join us at our lovely beach house. Too bad it couldn't be on better circumstances. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a cousin to kill!" And with that Chantale hobbled out of her kitchen and into the backyard.

Hunter took a hard blow to the upper chest area and stumbled backwards. "What the hell is your problem?!!?!?" He yelled at Shi who made a swipe at him with her nails.
"I've got no problem! I just think your being an arrogant bastard to everyone!" Shi growled at Hunter.
Neither noticed Chantale coming up near them. Shi grabbed a large branch that had fallen during the storm and swung it at Hunter's head, but he ducked and smashed Chantale in the side of her head with it.
Chantale flew a good six feet in the air before coming to a crashing halt into a tree. Her body crashed to the sandy ground, not moving.
Shi growls and runs over to Chantale. "You know you don't sneek up on people in the middle of a fight."
Hunter cam over as well feeling waves of guilt washing over him looking down at Chantale's still body.
"Your not going to die on me. I already lost Hotaru. I am not loosing you as well." Shi spoke gruffly tears in her voice. She layed her hands on her cousin and lighting flickered from them strangely colored stormy gray. Hunter watche din awe as Shi healed her cousin of the hurts she had recived. All of the hurts, he watched as they disappered.
Chantale groaned, opening her eyes and gazing at Hunter and Shi. "You two done now?"
"Damnit Pink." Shi growled. "You know better." Picking up her cousin. "I lost enough family. I am not loosing you as well."
Chantale laughed softly before gripping her head like it was going to fall off "Christ Shi... Trying to kill me again?"
Shi hugged her little cousin tightly. "I'm not going to loose you again." Shi helped to lift Chantale onto Hunter's back so he could carry her into the house. "Its a healing headache Pink. After it goes away you'll be fine."
The guys and Tori ran out onto the deck. "Shi! What happened?" Tori shouted.
"I went to hit Hunter, but he ducked, I missed him and smashed Chan in the side of the head" she said with out preamble.
Tori blinked and looked at the two. "You were really fighting weren't you." Tori took in the brusied state of the two. It hit her how hard the two had been fighting. It amazed her that they could fight like that.
Hunter grunted talking Chantale inside the beach house. For he was not ready to deal with Tori yet.
"Yes we were and no I am not done with him yet." Shi spoke frowning as she rubbed her side. "We still have things to talk about." Shi smirked.
Chantale shoot her cousin a look. "No more talking in that fashion." Chantale frowned then smirked seeing the reasoning behind why Shi wanted to continue her fight with Hunter. "Cannot stand to tie with him can you?"
Shi grunted and crossed her arms.
Tori sighed and rubbed her temples, she was going to have one hell of a headache from crying today. Taking a long sip of water she walked back into the living room with Shi. Tori fell into the first chair she found. Rocking back and forth she closed her eyes and felt her body begin to relax. Now, on top of everything, she was exhausted. Figures, always happened this way.
Blake walked over and plopped himself behind Tori. Not caring one iota what his older brother thought at the moment. He began to give Tori a massage. Starting with her shoulders and also massaging her head. "I am sorry that Hunter cannot accept you right now Water girl. He will give him time. I think my brother might end up in trouble if he don't watch it." Blake whispered to Tori. "Shi looks ready to defend you and your right."
"I noticed." Tori said softly leaning on him. "I think Chantale hit on something though. Neither of them like to tie."
Blake laughed, his eyes dancing he looked over at Cam and smiled. "Hey man!" He called out.
Cam gave a small wave and hello before going back to surveying the house. It was beautiful. Alot of work must have gone into it. Cam sighed thinking to himself. 'Hunter was trying to get himself killed out there, and if it wouldn't have been for Chantale, he might have been. It was strange though. Hunter and Shi didn't want to hurt each other, it was like they like each other.....go figure...'
Shane stood leaning against the frame of the entrance way recapping what he had just seen. One of his best friends, and a girl he barely knew fighting each other like it was to the death or something. Shi didn't mean to hurt Chantale, or did she?
The leader of ninja storm was not completely sure about the two. Well mostly Shi for the dark haired girl was too much like Hunter for his piece of mind. one Hunter personility was enough for him and now it seemed that Fate had gifted him with another. He groaned softly to himself.
Dustin sat on the couch, face plastered at the young girl stretched out on the crouch across from him resting peacefully. She had her one arm drapped across her stomach and the other resting behind her head. 'She's beautiful' Dustin thought. 'She's strong and brave. Wow, I can believe that she was able to take the blow and survive. She's really something'
Chantale shifted slightly and tilted her head over a bit, catching Dustin's eye and smiling before closing her eyes again. She thought to herself. 'Shi had saved me, again. It had been like this for a few years now. Shi had been so protective of me. She didn't want something like that happening again. But she had used her powers. Hunter saw her use her healing ability. Oh well' She thought, and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of a certain yellow ranger.
Hunter glared at Shi his mind in an uproar. He thought to himself. 'Shi healed Chantale. I saw her do it. What other secrets could those two be holding?'
Shi and Hunter gave each other looks for neither wanted to admit to the attraction that was there. Shi went back into her hostess mode and made sure everyone was settled, including Hunter. She ordered a pizza and the day was normal after that.
