| Raga-Muffin was founded in May 2002, in St. Paul's NorthEast suburd of Mahtomedi by Tyrus and Mike. Tyrus and Mike started creating material together at age 12 in their basements and had a band of their own with drummer Matt. Later, because of musical differences, they fired him and formed Raga-Muffin with drummer Aaron. They practiced and worked hard on new material. Raga-Muffin played at several venues including The Garage of Burnsville. From Christmas of 2002 to September of 2003, they recorded their first album entitled "when was the last time you went to the zoo" under their own independant lable Skrat Records.(later changed to COMFY-COUCH)Soon after the album was released, Raga-Muffin recurited TCAG frontman Teddy Long-Barr. Teddy was not with Raga-Muffin very long, but they soon after hooked up with Adam Smith, former Guitarrist of B.A.F., and bassist of the disfucntional band The Sucker Punches. Adam parted ways with the band in September of 2004. Aaron also parted from Raga-Muffin in November of 2004 and was replace with Joey. Raga-Muffin is always working on their sound and performance, and they are curently looking for a female keyboardest/vocalist. In August 2005, they released another full length CD entitled lukewarm love. |
