The Caracalla Baths were built in 206 A.D., used mainly for bathing and a place where the Romans could entertain.  The place is huge (everything must have been big here).  There were still mosaic tiles on the ground.  You could also see the outline of the large pools and spas.  Nowadays concerts and plays are held here.

After the Baths we walked to the Colesseum (about 1/2 a mile) and hailed a taxi back to the Rome Terminii.  Walked around and stopped for cappucino and dessert at a bakery close to the hotel.

Met Auntie back at the hotel, rested and walked to a nice restaurant down the street.  Very tiring day, our last full day in Rome.
