| Monday - Paolo picked us up at 9:00AM but this time for a half day tour of Rome. Drove through parts of the Appian Way. First stop, La Bocca della Verita (Mouth of Truth). Legend has it that the mouth would bite the hand of anyone not telling the truth. The Catacombs of San Sebastian was next (there are about 45 catacombs around Rome - Pagan, Jewish and Christian). There were no skeletal remains. (Auntie said we should have visited the Paris catacombs for that). Photography is prohibited so sorry for the lack of pictures. Afterwards we headed to the "Colesseum". |
