She frowned deeply at what she saw in the mirror. Her hand reached for the pair of scissors, she carefully snipped the ends of her hair.
There. That looks better, she thought to herself as she walked to the next room. Flipping through the different items of clothing, she pulled out some general jean shorts and fastened her new boots. Her skirt had been ripped during the fight and she didn't care for the high heel boots too much.
Now I look presentable, she thought to herself again then stopped short.
"What am I thinking? Since when do I have to look presentable?" she questioned out loud as she laughed her strange thought off and made her way down the hall.
She saw him stretched out lazily on the couch when she walked into the living room. He had his eyes closed but she knew differently.
"You look nice," he simply stated without even lifting an eyelid.
"Oh?" She eyed him warily as she made her way to the couch. "Well, you don't," she said amusingly as she flung a new clean shirt on him.
Juuni-gou sat up and gave her a questioning look. "Why do I have to change into this? The shirt I'm wearing is absolutely fine!" he stated.
"Wrong! It's torn and dirty, change into this now! We have to go to the city today."
"Juuichi-gou..." Junni-gou said in a playful tone. "We go to the city every day." He smiled and she blushed a bit.
"Just put the shirt on and let's go, ok? I want to start the next mission." She turned ready to leave the room only to be stopped by his voice.
"Juuichi-gou? You want to start the next mission? The one Dr. Gero wanted us to finish today?" His eyes traveled along her back hoping to read her thoughts.
"It's not for Dr. Gero's wishes. I want to go..." She paused, not sure on how to say what she was about to say.
Juuni-gou got up from his position on the couch and embraced his partner from behind and rested his head on her bare shoulder. "What is it? Juuichi, you can tell me," he said into her ear as a whisper.
She smiled at him. "I ... I just want go somewhere. I think it's in the city, but I..."
"Yes love?" he asked her, his evil intentions always escaped him when he was able to be free and open with Juuichi.
"Juuni, would it be alright if I went alone. I know I wanted you to come to the city with me, but I think I need to go alone."
"Hey, no problem Juuichi!" He smiled and let go of her.
"Thank you," she planted a small kiss on his cheek. "We'll have fun when I get back." And with a wink, she walked out the door of the house that they'd vacated a few hours before.
