Destined Virtues
Chapter 12 by Star
Otaku
Bulma shot up from her bed. Something was wrong or amiss. Then it hit her.
Gohan!
The events earlier that day were fresh on her mind. He wouldn't do something so dangerous as that, would he?
She wasn't going to take any chances. She hopped out of her bed, put on a pair of slippers, and threw a robe on herself.
She wandered down the hallway and picked up a small laser weapon she was working on. No use going out there without some protection.
Bulma didn't bother to wake the others, she didn't want to put the rest of them in danger. She argued with herself as she wandered outside.
Why didn't you bring along Yamucha, or Kuririn? Do you want to get killed?
No, I don't want them to see Gohan get hurt. Or draw any attention to ourselves. The less people involved, the less people killed.
Bulma gulped at the last part. Killed?! She didn't want to die. Great time for the wacky coward in her to come out.
She suddenly stopped at the sight before her. In the clearing was Gohan, with the jinzouningen. They were standing around and talking!
This was most interesting.
She hid behind the foliage, and watched on, her weapon in hand.
Juuni-gou looked incredulously at the boy. What he was saying couldn't be true, could it?
"I said your names are Son Goku and Son ChiChi, and I am your son, Gohan," the boy repeated.
"I heard you the first time, kid," Juuni snarled back.
Juuichi shot her partner a threatening look. "Don't do anything to our son."
"I can't believe you actually are believing the boy! For all we know, he could be lying-"
"But he's not! I know! Somehow, I know."
Gohan was silent until now. "Father, please, listen to her. She's right."
"I'd like to see you prove it."
Gohan stuck his hand in his pocket and fumbled around for something. He finally took it out and opened it for them to see. The picture.
Juuichi-gou peered in closer to see the picture and smiled softly. That scene was familiar.
Juuni-gou continued to scowl. It was proof that what Gohan was saying was true. He wanted to be happy, but he didn't like the truth.
Bulma didn't like where this was going. She stepped into the clearing. "Gohan!"
Gohan looked up to see his friend. "Bulma, it's okay."
"No, it's not okay," suddenly said Juuni-gou. He menacingly took a step forward.
Bulma put her hand inside her robe and pulled out the laser. "Stay back! Gohan, run. Leave them to me."
