When
Does Secrecy Become Conspicuous?
Did George W Bush restrict access of
presidential papers for security reasons, or to safeguard the
"Cult of the Individual?"
More
Bacon, Less Hogwash
Ethics modified is chicanery exposed.
How Sir Francis Bacon and nearly 20 year old troubling documents reveal
what the White House believes it has hidden.
The
Bush Family and Collective Amnesia
The "home front" and drug
enforcement agencies are not heading into a new direction, they are merely
borrowing tactics
from an earlier administration. The only question is
how arbitrary will the White House be when deciding which
drug pushers, fellow travelers and terrorists are "friendly" to
the administration, and which neighborhood junkie should be punished for
it.
Reagan
Directs "Battalion 316"
In this RadioRote
series,
we will explore the history of the Reagan-Bush administration’s heavy
handedness in creating and sustaining the Honduran Intelligence Unit
turned Right Wing Death Squad, known as ‘Battalion 316.’ We will also
cite examples of their Human Rights abuses and the administrations'
lukewarm response to these reports -- as well as present primary documents
as to how the Reagan-Bush administration worked hard in distancing
themselves from the active roles they undertook in the Honduran scandal
they assisted in designing. Some of the names may be familiar, as
they found refuge within the new Bush Administration.
The
Ruckus Over Rucker
In
a recent Supreme Court (“SC”) decision, the Rehnquisling Quorum voted
8-0 to allow the Oakland Housing Authority to evict four senior
citizens due to the drug activities of people the seniors knew, even
though some of the drug activity did not take place on the subsidized
housing grounds. Chief Justice ’Wilhelm Rehnquisling’ ruled that the
tenants cannot use ‘no knowledge’ of such activity as a defense, and
that due process is not a factor in such cases. Thus, if subsidized
housing makes the government (“the people”) the landlord, then do
these same rules apply to those elected officials whose housing costs are
offset by the taxpayer?
The
Ruckus Over Rucker Part 2
As
stated in the first
installment
of this piece, the Supreme Court
ruled 8-0 on 3/26/02 that any resident of a public subsidized housing unit
whose family member in that unit, or guest, is involved in drug activity
or any other illegal pursuit (either on or off the property), will be
evicted from said subsidized housing unit whether or not the resident was
aware of the illegal pastime. This case centered on four senior citizens
in different units who were evicted based on the activities of others. RadioRote,
and now a growing number of
others believe that if this ruling holds, than the eviction process should
include anyone in a residence that is supported by taxpayers because, as
Rehnquist argued "the plain language is unambiguous" when it
comes to that kind of eviction. With this in mind, here are examples of
another group of people who should be considered for eviction, based on
their own philosophies and the court's decision.
Pacifica
Radio: It's Race to the Bottom
Their
audience is young, hip and tragically uninformed. Is Pacifica Radio a
"progressive" outlet, or merely a group of disaffected
posers and rebels without a clue?
PacifiCapo
Radio
To
Pacifica Radio, does "Free Speech Radio" mean "Jew Free
Radio"?
Jeb's
Hasty 911 Call
Part
1.
In this
multi-part article, RadioRote re-assesses the defensive posture the Bush Administration
donned well before 9-11. In this first part, we re-examine John Ashcroft.
This Senator from Missouri became the Conservative Standard Bearer
for the Bush White House. He carried all the right credentials for the
job. Or, perhaps, too "Right." Why else would he bear so much
animosity towards the FBI?
Jeb's
Hasty 911 Call
Part
2.
The FBI
and INS are taking the brunt for the 9/11 failure in Intelligence . But
how much could they do when the White House had an adversarial and counter-productive
approach towards these agencies in matters of preventing terrorists from
entering the US as far back as the 1980's?
