Jon Radice's Artistic Background:
Jon Radice has been performing live as a musician in Buffalo N.Y. since 1979. He has played kit drums, percussion, bass, guitar and sang for many Buffalo bands, The Untouchables, Skychurch, Social Butterfly, Slugfest, Sirdre and Scott Telvetia's bands (White Trash, Channel 10, Psyglon B, and etc...), whom later became Zippy of famed Zippy & The Pinheads. Jon started a band New Values; with John Resnik of the GOO GOO DOLLS (years before the Goo Goo's). In 2005 Jon recorded guitar tracks dueling his guitar against guitarist Kenny Hawkings from Rick James Stone City band. Jon was the bass player for Virtual Jesus, lead guitar player for Reggae band Buffalo Soldjah, the lead vocalist and guitar player for 6 21 3 11. In 2008 Jon is the bass player and lead vocalist for Red Space. Always stretching musically, Jon has become a full spectrum song writer multi-instrument musician/technician. Jon also plays out solo at coffee houses or small venues. Albums of his music are being created ready for release in 2008. Radice's sound mixing started to exceled back in 1987, when an opportunity came to take over his father's bar on Niagara and Hertel streets in Buffalo. Jon moved in and renamed the business the River Rock Cafe knocking down walls to maximize the space, set up 2 stages, 2 P.A.'s and 2 light shows. Jon brought in every style of music, Jazz, Funk, HipHop, Reggae, Blues, Punk, Metal, Big Band, Oldies bands...basically everyone was welcome and the artistic environment welcomed them. Major label bands from all over the country (& some international) toured through his club... Jon always mixed all the bands, D.J.'d and performed the light show every night, it was almost like playing a piano at times. The River Rock, over it's 4 year run, averaged 40 bands a month. Radice loved mixing all the different bands. Here's some of the bands Jon mixed on stage at the River Rock and other venues since:

Gaining experience as a live sound technician has dramatically helped Jon Radice engineer/produce in the studio.
When your mixing music there's a sweetness that has to be pulled from it. A warmness that is created by the musicians or artists. The sound could turn cold if someone controlled or mixed it that didn't understand the enhancement. It's not about volume but detailed exposure of what's occurring........Jon Radice
All my energy will be concentrated towards performing music live and recording mostly. Before I'm dead my goal is to release 1000 albums and DVD music videos and movies between the one's I'm recording with my bands and the musicians who hire me through RADICE VIDEO.
May the airwaves hear us all!
| Since a very young age Jon had been drawing, painting, playing music and making movies on his Dad's Super 8 movie camera, learning assorted animations and movie type shooting. Focusing even harder on all the arts when Jon went to high school, going to Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
