Right...so what are we talking about when we say part of the plane is flat? The bottome of the nose! It's very flat! That is actually one of the distinctive features of the plane, so pay attention to the nose in this picture and hopefully you'll really see what we've been talking about. This one specifically is a 757-200.

This is a good view of the tail cone on the 757...another 200 model.

And then this is a 757-300. Other than being longer than the 757-200 (*which is the most seen model; like when we were at the airport watching the planes, all of the 757's we saw were 200-series models*), there is no real difference.
