Welcome to my page of home built radial flow gas turbines, a.k.a. jet engines . Here you will find pictures and details on some of my engines. As of now, there is only one engine, and hit has just recently been retired due to the fact that the turbocharger got too hot and the bearings were shot. If you are visiting this page to gain knowledge on how to build your own engine, let me warn you, besides the time consuming and tedious task of making some of the parts, it is also dangerous to your life. If the turbocharger were to throw a blade or more from either turbine, the speed of the shrapnel would be much greater than that of a bullet. For a jet engine to work, the turbines spin at more than 20,000 rpm, most cars engines blow up at 9,000.
